Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary in the range of $134,900.00 - $224,900.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

The Senior Manager, Vehicle Information Strategy leads the long-term vision and execution of Vehicle Information capabilities across inspections, condition reporting, data reuse, and buyer and seller experiences, driving enterprise-wide and global impact. The role partners with senior leadership to define and deliver a multi-year strategy aligned to business priorities while leveraging AI, computer vision, and advanced data platforms to improve accuracy, consistency, and scalability. As a strategic advisor across Product, Technology, Operations, Analytics, and Client teams, this leader simplifies complex challenges, unlocks data value, and delivers trusted vehicle condition intelligence across the marketplace. Partners with business leaders to define and develop insightful and actionable plans to implement the key strategic initiatives that need to be executed outside of day-to-day operational activities for the organization to achieve its targeted performance. Recommends actions to mitigate financial / competitive risks and realize incremental growth opportunities. Determines where the organization is well-positioned, where it should double down and where it should exit. Aggressively monitors and analyses the competitive landscape, evolving market trends and new industry spaces.

PRIMARY DUTIES/KEY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Serves as a key contributor to execution on specified strategic initiatives.

  • Collaborates with diverse and cross-functional colleagues and business leaders, providing analysis and recommendations related to modeling potential business outcomes, assessing strategic fit with the current business, determining risks and mitigation strategies, determining process, cultural and other considerations impacting post-deal integration.

  • Leads in the conduct of market and profit pool assessments of new growth opportunities.

  • Collaborates with business units and other leadership to refine and articulate business plans and valuation scenarios for various new growth opportunities.

  • Develop market models, entity structures and transaction models to test and demonstrate new business viability from multiple perspectives, including technical and operational.

  • Define and evolve a multi-year Vehicle Information (VI) strategy aligned to enterprise priorities, customer needs, and scalable operations.

  • Establish clear strategic principles for inspection, condition reporting, data reuse, automation, and AI-enabled vehicle condition intelligence.

  • Identify, evaluate, and help operationalize emerging technologies—including AI, computer vision, and data platforms—to improve accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.

  • Lead the design, deployment, and continuous evolution of AI damage detection and advanced condition reporting capabilities.

  • Drive complex, cross-functional transformation initiatives that simplify VI processes, reduce variability, and accelerate time to value.

  • Translate strategy into actionable roadmaps, operating models, milestones, and success metrics with clear business impact.

  • Promote adoption of standardized frameworks, tools, and data models across inspection and condition reporting workflows to improve quality and scalability.

  • Partner with Enterprise Analytics and data science teams to unlock insights, enable effective data storytelling, and support data-driven decision making.

  • Establish governance models that ensure data integrity, clear ownership, and appropriate reuse of vehicle data across grading, pricing, recon, arbitration, search, and buyer decisioning.

  • Act as a trusted cross-functional leader by mentoring teams, influencing without authority, representing VI strategy in executive and client forums, and linking strategy to outcomes such as cost reduction, speed, customer satisfaction, and risk mitigation.

Required Experience & Specialized Knowledge and skills

  • BS/BA degree in a related discipline with 8 years of experience in a related field; or MS/MA degree in a related discipline with 6 years of experience in a related field; or Ph.D. in a related discipline with 3 years of experience in a related field.

  • Agility, flexibility, and “how can we” positive attitude.

  • Strong analytical thinking and decision-making.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify gaps, think strategically, and proactively address.

  • Communications organization and delivery: Ability to communicate in a variety of mediums and across levels of our organization.

  • Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute the duties of the position successfully within required timeframes to meet business requirements.

  • Other duties as needed or required.

  • 25% travel is required

Preferred

  • Experience in automotive, logistics, inspection, assurance, or data‑intensive operational environments.

  • Familiarity with AI‑enabled decisioning, data platforms, or automation at scale.

  • Background working closely with product and technology teams in an agile environment.

  • Consulting background helping organizations improve performance, navigate change, or implement new technology.
