Join our collaborative team as a PPI Business System Specialist I to support continuous improvement across Thermo Fisher Scientific. In this role, you'll implement the Practical Process Improvement (PPI) Business System to enhance efficiencies, enrich customer experience, and increase employee engagement. Working with cross-functional teams, you'll coordinate Kaizen events, facilitate process improvements, and support a culture of operational excellence. You'll analyze data, develop solutions, and guide teams in lean methodologies to achieve measurable improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree required, no prior experience required
• Preferred Fields of Study: Engineering, Science, Business, or related field
• Lean/Six Sigma certification desirable but not required
• Strong expertise in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience leading Kaizen events, value stream mapping, 5S, standard work implementation
• Advanced proficiency in data analysis and root cause investigation techniques
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate cross-functional teams and support process improvements
• Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Strong communication and presentation skills for effectively engaging all organizational levels
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Knowledge of cGMP/GDP principles preferred
• Demonstrated success implementing sustainable process improvements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to guide others in continuous improvement methods
• Focus on achieving outcomes with commitment to positive change
• Experience with productivity tracking and performance metrics
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships
• Ability to work various shifts as needed to support improvement initiatives
