Description
As a 1st Shift Production Supervisor at Progressive Surface, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, quality, & safety. You will be responsible for managing a team of production workers & coordinating production schedules to meet customer demands & organizational goals.
- Commissions & stages material for production.
- Verifies all production machine setups & work instructions are followed
- Maintain safe & organized operations
- Proficient in all production and quality tasks
- Monitor inventory levels for raw material & communicate needs prior to any shortages
- Works closely with all aspects of manufacturing, ensuring support of meeting labor standards, quality standards, & adherence to manufacturing specifications
- Provides team members daily workstation assignments
- Directs & coordinates maintenance activities
- Supports a culture of Lean continuous improvement seeking to minimize waste
- Assists with performance evaluations, training / coaching, tracking attendance, & administering company policies.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Previous leadership experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate positive, professional behavior at all times.
- Ability to work within team environment required.
- Good verbal & written communication skills.
- Ability to use computer & scanning equipment.
- Manufacturing procedure background.
- Ability to read & understand work instructions & quality procedures & other instructional material printed in English preferred.
- Ability to help drive culture change through support of lean manufacturing principles
