Meet Connor Group
Connor Group is built for breakthroughs. We are a professional services firm focused on the toughest challenges facing ambitious companies. We serve the offices of the CFO, CIO/CTO, and CHRO across finance, accounting, M&A, IPOs, and a wide range of digital solutions, including AI.
Founded in 2006, we became the leading IPO advisory firm. That work built a pragmatic, delivery-oriented approach and $4.0T in client valuation. Today, more than 2,000 of the most exciting brands on earth trust us to deliver results that last.
The role
The Chief Marketing Officer owns how the market sees Connor Group. You will build the marketing strategy that grows revenue, brand preference, and reputation, and you will help drive new sales. You will know our targets and our clients cold. You will lead the marketing team and work shoulder to shoulder with the President, our Partners, Business Development, and RevOps to provide significant value to our clients, prospects, and audiences across traditional and digital channels.
What you will own
Marketing strategy tied to growth. Partner with the President, the Executive Team, and the Director of Marketing to build and run the strategy that drives revenue, brand preference, and expansion into priority markets.
Brand, story, and market position. Position Connor Group as the leading professional services firm for ambitious companies. Upgrade the messaging, story, brand, website, and visual identity. Keep messaging and branding consistent across every channel.
Digital marketing, including AI. Drive continued digital transformation with wise AI use. Leverage LinkedIn, our website, email, and other digital channels to grow our share of voice. Build multi-layered promotion across events, content, and digital so target audiences stay informed and inspired about our work.
Lead generation and pipeline. Drive lead generation that converts. Build clean hand-off processes, qualification via a clear ideal client profile (ICP), and lead metrics tied to growth goals, all managed in Salesforce.
ICP research. Research customer needs and jobs-to-be-done to ensure our positioning, messaging, and thought leadership resonate and deliver significant value.
A high-performing team. Continue to build, mentor, and lead the marketing team. Foster creativity, collaboration, and steady improvement. Scale existing systems and set up new ways of working, particularly including AI, that achieve transformational improvements.
Budget and ROI. Own the annual marketing budget and tie every dollar to business results. Build the business case for new-market investments. Track and report performance against insightful metrics.
Stakeholders and communications. Support internal and external communications. Build relationships with clients, partners, and the people who shape our industry. Work across departments and serve the firm’s practice and industry groups and our Partners.
Why you will want this role
Own the whole story. Shape how the market sees a firm whose IPO advisory work built $4.0T in client valuation and the trust of more than 2,000 of the most exciting brands on earth.
Leverage a solid AI foundation. Use Claude Cowork and related MCP connections to multiple apps, as well as AI point solutions to do the work better and faster (in that order).
Win and support clients you already know. OpenAI, Uber, Liquid Death, Coinbase, Duolingo, and HubSpot, among many others.
Receive benefits that support real life. Hybrid and onsite work, flexible time off, complete healthcare, a company-match 401K, and paid parental and military leave.

Willingness to travel up to 15%.
