About the role
This is a commercially critical role sitting at the centre of Accenture's GCC and GBS growth agenda in ANZ. The Associate Director will serve as the end-to-end value chain lead for GCC and GBS deals — owning the design, shaping and delivery of solutions from early market engagement through to contract execution and operational stand-up.
The role combines deep process design expertise with commercial acumen and client-facing leadership. The successful candidate will work directly with pursuit teams, MD-level sponsors and client executives — translating complex business requirements into compelling, commercially viable GBS and GCC propositions. This person is expected to be a credible voice in client conversations and a driving force internally to progress and convert opportunities.
Responsibilities
Deal Value Chain Leadership
Lead the end-to-end solution design and commercial shaping of GCC and GBS deals across ANZ, from early client engagement through to contract execution. Own the solution narrative, operating model design, service scope, commercial structure and transition approach across each pursuit.
Process Architecture and Service Design
Design and document the future-state process architecture for GBS and GCC engagements, spanning Finance, HR, Procurement, IT and Customer Service functions as applicable. Define service delivery models, process taxonomies, organisational structures, governance frameworks and technology enablers that form the backbone of each client solution.
Client Pursuit and Sales Support
Work directly with sales leads, account executives and MD-level pursuit sponsors to develop and prosecute GCC and GBS opportunities. Contribute to RFP responses, orals, client workshops and executive presentations. Lead the solution and commercial components of major pursuits, ensuring the proposition is differentiated, credible and commercially sound.
Executive Client Engagement
Lead client-facing conversations at CFO, COO and functional leadership level. Facilitate discovery workshops, business case development sessions and executive briefings. Build and maintain trusted relationships with key client stakeholders throughout the deal lifecycle and into delivery.
AI-Enabled Operating Model Design
Incorporate Generative AI and Agentic AI capabilities into GBS and GCC operating model designs. Identify automation and intelligence opportunities across the process value chain and translate these into practical service delivery models. Demonstrate to clients how AI-native operations reduce cost, improve quality and accelerate business outcomes.
Transformation Delivery Oversight
Support or lead the transition from deal signature into mobilisation, ensuring design intent is preserved in execution. Advise delivery teams on operating model implementation, governance structures and performance management frameworks. Identify and manage risks that could affect client outcomes or Accenture's commercial position.
Internal Stakeholder and Practice Development
Collaborate with MD and senior account leads, sales specialists, marketing teams and global GBS/GCC communities of practice to develop market collateral, points of view and reusable assets. Contribute to the continuous improvement of Accenture's GCC and GBS offering, drawing on pursuit experience and market insight to sharpen our propositions.
Requirements
Experience supporting new capabilities and approaches to market Demonstrated experience in GBS, GCC, shared services or large-scale outsourcing — ideally across design, commercialisation and implementation phases.
Strong process design capability across one or more functional domains — Finance, Procurement, HR or Customer Service — with the ability to design end-to-end service delivery models that are both operationally credible and commercially viable.
Experience participating in or leading large commercial pursuits, including RFP responses, solution development, oral presentations and deal negotiation.
Ability to engage confidently with senior client stakeholders — including CFOs, COOs and their direct reports — and to build trusted relationships throughout complex, multi-stakeholder pursuits.
Understanding of how AI, automation and digital technologies are reshaping business services, and the ability to articulate these trends in a commercially relevant way to executive audiences.
Strong commercial judgement and an instinct for how to structure and price solutions that create value for clients and deliver sustainable margin for Accenture.
