Description

Administrative/Property Coordinator

Full-Time | Sherwood Park & North Edmonton | In Office

Build Strong Communities While Making a Meaningful Difference

Are you an experienced administrative professional who enjoys building relationships, supporting volunteer boards, and keeping operations running smoothly?

Our client, a well-established non-profit housing organization, is seeking a Property Coordinator to join their collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a relationship-focused environment and enjoys a role that combines administration, governance support, community engagement, and coordination.

While experience in residential or condominium property management is certainly an asset, it is not essential. The ideal candidate is an organized, proactive professional who is eager to learn and is passionate about supporting communities and building strong working relationships.

If you're looking for a rewarding career where your work has a direct impact on the people and communities you serve, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

Reporting to the Director of Housing Services, you'll provide administrative, governance, and community support for 2 housing co-operatives.

Governance & Administrative Support

  • Prepare meeting agendas, board packages, and supporting documentation
  • Attend board meetings, record minutes, and coordinate follow-up items
  • Provide administrative support to volunteer Boards of Directors
  • Assist with governance processes, policies, and bylaw administration
  • Track important regulatory, compliance, and administrative deadlines
  • Maintain accurate records and governance documentation
  • Coordinate communications and support effective board decision-making

Community & Housing Coordination

  • Build positive relationships with Members, volunteer Boards, and community stakeholders
  • Act as a liaison between Boards and Members
  • Support the day-to-day coordination of multiple housing co-operatives
  • Assist with member communications and issue resolution
  • Help coordinate community events and resident engagement initiatives
  • Foster welcoming, connected, and well-managed communities

What We're Looking For

We're interested in experienced professionals who bring strong organizational skills, professionalism, and excellent relationship-building abilities.

You may have experience in:

  • Non-profit organizations
  • Residential or condominium property management
  • Board or governance administration
  • Housing, community services, or member-based organizations
  • Senior administrative or office management roles

The successful candidate will also possess:

  • 3+ years of progressive administrative or coordination experience
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence supporting volunteer boards and working with diverse stakeholders
  • Sound judgment, diplomacy, and professionalism
  • The ability to balance empathy with policy and process
  • A proactive, solution-oriented approach and willingness to learn
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams
  • Reliable personal transportation

Assets Include

  • Experience working within a non-profit organization
  • Exposure to board governance or committee administration
  • Residential, condominium, or co-operative housing experience
  • Experience interpreting policies, bylaws, or governance documents

Why You'll Love This Opportunity

This is far more than a traditional property coordination role. You'll become a trusted resource to volunteer Boards, help strengthen vibrant communities, and support an organization dedicated to providing affordable housing and fostering long-term community connections.

You'll enjoy a collaborative, supportive team environment where relationship building, professionalism, and community impact are valued just as much as technical expertise.

Compensation & Work Environment

  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Salary: $60,000 - $62,000
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Work between Sherwood Park (approximately three days per week) and North Edmonton (approximately two days per week)
  • Long-term opportunity with a stable, community-focused organization
