JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Assembler 1
Division: Assembly Department
General Purpose:
Assembles of a wide variety of products and sub-assemblies using hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and air tools. Work is performed in a manufacturing setting at a standard rate of work to provide high quality products completed and delivered in a timely manner.
Essential Functions:
- Assembles product using basic hand tools and techniques
- Reads, understands, communicates, and interprets written and verbal instructions, work documentation, policies and practices, etc., which are written in the English language
- Follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible
- Maintains a clean, safe working environment
- Performs other duties as requested
Qualifications:
- One of the following is required: (1) High school diploma or its equivalent (GED for example), (2) work experience which demonstrates performance competency
Skills and Abilities:
- Competent in basic math skills such as counting, adding, and subtracting
- Ability to work cooperatively within the team as well as with members of other teams to meet goals
Physical Demands
- Must have to the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assist
- Required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms for the duration of the shift
