Customer Service & Hiring Specialist - Transportation
Job Description:
Creates communication venues to educate the district, community, and stakeholder on the status of Transportation within the district. Performs recruitment and marketing for all open Transportation positions in an effort to keep a continuous pipeline of candidates. Develops and promotes good community relations among various district and community clientele.ESSENTIAL ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Assignments could include being in the elements and could include heat, snow, rain, and other weather-related conditions
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Position Specific Information (if Applicable):
Responsibilities:
Support school leadership during School Accountability Committee meetings in reference to General Education and Special Education Transportation.
Assist Transportation in coordinating changes for improvement in collaboration with Communications, Human Resources, School Leadership, Special Education, and other departments.
Talk with families, students and school staff to gather feedback and input on Transportation processes.
Market through social media, bus ads, and other venues to promote hiring.
Actively recruit for open Transportation positions at colleges, tech schools, etc.
Evaluate Transportation-related feedback mechanisms and make recommendations for improvement as needed.
Monitor, track, and review feedback on social media and Let’s Talk regarding Transportation from the community and District staff and identify themes needing improvement.
Draft talking points regarding Transportation processes and challenges for publication by the Communications Department on social media or other mediums.
Become familiar with Transportation process and challenges, including bus routing, staffing and vacancies, and options for increased levels of service.
Directly respond to questions and complaints regarding Transportation
○ Manage complaints.
○ Coordinate with Transportation staff and provide appropriate solutions for customers.
○ Follow up to resolve any issues with customers’ experience.
