Job Description:

Test Center Administrator Position Description:

Testing Center Administrators reports to the Testing Coordinator.

Qualifications:

  • Works well with people in a professional environment.
  • Able to memorize and remember information correctly concerning protocols and uphold said protocols.
  • Learns new technical skills quickly and well.
  •         Preferred: Appropriate past experience with working with people in fast-paced environments.
  • Preferred: Excellent customer service skills.
  •         Preferred: Technical skills with Word, Excel, Outlook, and computer software in general.

Position Summary:

The Test Center Administrator must be capable of thriving in a fast-paced and professional environment. As the face of the testing center, staff is responsible for greeting examinees, verifying their identification, and supervising test administration following Testing Center guidelines. The TCA is also responsible for site and test security as well as maintaining a clean, comfortable testing environment. The TCA has the knowledge to deal with all problems that may arise in a professional, caring manner.

Job Summary:

The following are the duties of a TCA:

  • Maintain a working knowledge of policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Greet examinees and verify identification.
  • Handle incidents of unacceptable identification or authorization-to-test documentation according to center standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality of clients.
  • Operate computer equipment.
  • Organize office supplies/inventory.
  • Oversee office environment to standards,
  • Identify and report problems occurring at the site.
  • Resolve examinee or building problems or report them to supervisor.
  • Call property management to maintain or fix environmental conditions to ensure a comfortable testing experience for examinees.
  • Manage examinee misconduct such as a security breach or inappropriate/threatening behavior according to Testing Center standards.
  • Refer examinees, clients, and the public to appropriate sources for situations outside of TCA's authority.
  • Accept responsibility for special projects as assigned by manager.
