Position Summary
We are looking for an exemplary Project Manager to be based in China. You will ensure delivery within scope, budget, and requirements (technical, regulatory, and otherwise), while serving as the key link between our China-based teams and global clients.
This role is ideally suited to a globally minded project professional who is excited to build a career in China and contribute to world-class food processing projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Coordination & Communication:Own the overall coordination and communication of international projects, ensuring efficient execution across all phases and alignment among global stakeholders.
- Planning & Reporting:Develop project plans, prepare progress reports, and regularly update management and stakeholders on status and key milestones; track and control timelines to ensure on-time delivery.
- Stakeholder & Meeting Management: Effectively engage all project stakeholders, coordinate cross-functional resources, and ensure accurate, timely transmission of information on schedule, cost, and quality.
- Scope & Requirements Definition: Work with internal and external stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
- Risk Management: Lead project risk management: identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks; develop responsive mitigation strategies to minimize adverse impacts on project objectives.
- Cost Management: Oversee project cost: develop budgets, review and control expenditures, conduct periodic cost accounting, and support Finance in project cost settlement; optimize resource allocation through data-driven analysis to improve project ROI.
- Client Relationships: Develop strong client relationships; ensure client satisfaction, manage expectations, and resolve issues quickly.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, introduce modern management concepts and tools, and document lessons learned to enhance team efficiency and project success rates.
- Other Duties: Perform other project management duties as assigned by the company or department.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, engineering technology, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience in large-scale manufacturing or the food processing industry.
- PMI / PMP accreditation is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; working proficiency in Portuguese and/or Spanish is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to approach technical problems from first principles.
- Outgoing personality with strengths in strategic planning, coordination, analytical thinking, and report summarization.
- Proactive and results-oriented; able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with high resilience to pressure and a strong capacity for continuous learning.
- Keen understanding of business objectives and the ability to adapt to dynamic timelines.
- Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
