Description

Job Description:

The role of the Manufacturing Engineering with Design Knowledge acts as the central technical contact point and digital integrator at the critical interface between engineering and manufacturing.

This role consolidates essential core competencies (e.g. design, DMU, FEM, manufacturing) and fundamentally optimizes the digital process chain. The MEDS creates, validates and manages manufacturing-specific data by analyzing and adapting the engineering models. This transforms primary engineering information into a manufacturing-ready database and ensures compliance for industrial use.

Your Strategic Contribution

Database Management and Process Stability: The role is responsible for creating, managing, and updating the entire manufacturing-relevant database (individual parts, assemblies, tools, manufacturing data). This ensures data consistency across the entire product lifecycle.

Operational Stability and Flexibility: Technical optimization of model data ensures the necessary manufacturing readiness. This increases process reliability and flexibility for all downstream departments using this data, reducing manual correction efforts.

Enabler for Automation and Series Efficiency: The role establishes the validated and process-optimized database crucial for maximizing series efficiency in the plant and enabling the stable deployment of automation systems.

Qualifications

Design for Manufacturing Competency: Knowledge of CATIA V5 and experience in manufacturing and assembly (metallic and composite). This knowledge forms the basis for technically correct and manufacturing-specific implementation of design changes.

Digital System and Process Integration: Knowledge of PLM/ERP systems (VPM, PASS, SAP) for structure and data management of components. This includes experience in change management for the correct integration of technical modifications into the digital structure.

Enabling Skills: Basic knowledge of structural analysis (FEM) for component validation and programming skills for process automation.

Supplier and Partner Coordination: The role is responsible for the technical coordination of external engineering suppliers (for analyses, tools, or designs). This includes monitoring delivery quality and ensuring that supplier data can be integrated into the internal process chain.

Mandatory training in Germany - availability to travel in Gremany is required.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
