Job Description Summary
About This RoleField operations don't run on equipment alone — they run on the people behind it. As Field Service Resource Manager at GE Power India Limited, you are the operational backbone for a team of Technical Field Advisers (TFAs) deployed across India's most critical power infrastructure projects. You ensure the right people are in the right place, properly supported, compliant, and set up to do their best work — so that turbine, boiler, and renovation projects stay on track without interruption.
This role sits at the intersection of workforce planning, employee support, and operational coordination. If you find satisfaction in bringing structure to complexity and keeping people and projects moving, this is where you'll make a measurable difference.
Job Description
What You'll Do
Deploy and coordinate the TFA workforce across outage, overhaul, maintenance, and Renovation & Modernization (R&M) assignments — managing availability tracking, skill-fitment, and end-to-end mobilization and demobilization logistics in close collaboration with Outage Managers and Line Managers.
Own resource data and reporting — maintain accurate, real-time records of TFA availability, site presence, rotation schedules, and release plans; prepare periodic Management Information System (MIS) dashboards covering utilization, time booking status, training completion, and demand-versus-supply forecasting for leadership review.
Drive compliance across the TFA population — track and follow up on time booking submissions in SAP, mandatory training completion, statutory documentation, and site-access requirements to ensure consistent policy adherence.
Support TFA wellbeing and development — coordinate individual development plans with Line Managers, manage leave and vacation planning, oversee rotation schedules to protect work-life balance, and serve as a trusted point of contact for personal and operational challenges.
Coordinate travel, logistics, and allowances — manage travel arrangements, hotel accommodation, and site logistics for TFA deployment; validate site stay records for allowance processing in line with company policy.
Connect across functions — partner with Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs), Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Immigration, Environment Health & Safety (EHS), Quality, and global resource teams to resolve TFA-related issues and share best practices across regions.
Who You Are
You are an organised, people-first coordinator who thrives in fast-paced, multi-site environments — someone who takes ownership of complex workforce logistics and brings calm, precision, and follow-through to every moving part.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in any discipline
Relevant 2-3 years of experience in the power sector in resource management, field service coordination, workforce planning, service operations, or project execution support

Working knowledge of time-booking systems, training tracking tools, and reporting platforms
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and standard business systems (including SAP)
Strong communication, coordination, planning, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred
Familiarity with power plant services environments, including outages, overhaul, or field execution
Demonstrated attention to detail and process discipline in compliance-driven settings
Experience working across HR, payroll, immigration, and EHS functions in an industrial or field services context
