Quality Engineering Program Manager

Job Summary & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Quality Engineering Program Manager to support our LBU new product releases. NPI factory, Product Teams, key suppliers and Field Service Teams. This role ensures new products transition smoothly from NPI into high‑volume production while maintaining world‑class quality and manufacturing capability. You will also work closely with Extended Factories and suppliers across Southeast Asia and the region to strengthen process controls, improve yield, and ensure readiness for New Product Introduction (NPI). You will also support our regional Field Service Teams with 8D problem-solving issues affecting our tool shipments to customers. 

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Quality & Manufacturing Support

• Support day‑to‑day quality and product development, manufacturing and NPI activities.
• Support supplier quality, and evaluate supplier processes, equipment, and manufacturing capability to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Conduct on‑site reviews, process audits, and build readiness checks for product transfers from NPI into mass production.
• Drive product, manufacturing and supplier improvement initiatives to reduce defects, improve yield, and enhance process robustness.

New Product Development (NPD) → New Product Introduction (NPI)

• Lead supplier readiness activities from early development through mass production.
• Drive APQP deliverables including PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, MSA, and Capability Studies.
• Manage PPAP submissions for new components, assemblies, and critical processes.
• Work closely with R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure manufacturability and strong process controls.

Quality Engineering & Problem Solving

• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D/4D or similar methodologies.
• Support process qualification, validation, and continuous improvement at suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with quality agreements, specifications, and change control requirements.
• Manage PCNs and ensure proper risk assessment and validation for supplier-driven changes.

Supplier Relationship & Performance Management

• Build strong working relationships with local suppliers, regional suppliers and extended factories.
• Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and scorecards; drive improvement plans where needed.
• Facilitate technical reviews, supplier meetings, and Quality Reviews to ensure alignment and accountability.
• Ensure suppliers meet expectations for quality, delivery, and operational excellence.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely across time-zones with engineering, operations, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure smooth product introduction.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to internal teams and suppliers on manufacturability, quality standards, and process controls.
• Ensure complete documentation of processes, validation results, and quality records throughout the NPI cycle.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• BS Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Optics, Physics, or related fields).
• 5–10 years of experience in high-complexity manufacturing, supplier quality, or NPI engineering.
• Experience in semiconductor, high‑precision, or advanced manufacturing environments. 
• Combined Quality Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering background
• Strong hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and structured problem-solving.
• Experience working with local and regional suppliers, contract manufacturers, or extended factories.
• Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt
• ASQ Certified
• Project Management experience. Certification a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• MS Engineering Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Optics, Physics, or related fields).
• Experience in Metrology, Inspection or Lithography equipment manufacturing.
• Background in optical, electromechanical systems, or complex assemblies.
• Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt
• Strong communication, data analysis, and project management skills.
• Experience supporting global teams and multi‑site manufacturing.
• Field Service experience a plus.

Compensation & Growth

• Base Salary Range:

$100,800.00 - $151,200.00, offered in good faith and based on experience, location, and qualifications.

• Additional Rewards: Annual bonus opportunities and potential long-term incentives tied to both company and individual success.
