Purpose of Job

 

Providing fixed income sales coverage to institutional clients. The focus will be on the distribution of core U.S. and Canadian Dollar fixed income products (Governments/SSAs/Provincials/Corporates) There will also be an expectation to cross sell  vanilla derivative and Financing products. Primary and Secondary distribution will both be a key focus as will the prospecting of new accounts.

 

Main Objectives

 

• Grow the Client Distribution in Core Franchise FI product
• Bring on and grow new client relationship to CIBC
• Pick up and develop some existing clients
• Prospect new business opportunities
• Focus on Client Sector – Real Money Asset Managers and Bank Treasuries
• Cross sell

Skills / Knowledge Required

 

• A minimum 5 years in the financial services industry and 3 years’ experience within fixed income and related sales (established sales relationships would be expected).
• The ability to cover senior client relationships and develop new accounts.
• Willingness to work extended hours.
• A solid understanding of SSA Fixed Income market.
• Some vanilla IRS experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Good team player.
• Computer literacy – Excel, Word, Bloomberg, Reuters etc.
