Job Title: Procurement Analyst - Indirect
A little bit about our team:
The Global Procurement team at WMG is in its early stages, and this role is foundational. We're a new department with a mandate to build a modern, strategic function that supports WMG's creative vision and operational goals. You won't just be joining a team; you'll be a key part of its creation, helping to shape our future and make a lasting impact on how we do business across the company.
Your role:
This is a rare opportunity to be a builder at a world-class music company. Your role isn't just about running contracts; it's about helping to implement the engine that powers our business operations. You'll use your sharp analytical skills and a passion for process improvement to drive value across a wide range of departments, including IT, Corporate Services, Facilities and Marketing. This is a highly visible position where your expertise will directly impact our efficiency and profitability, all while supporting the people who make WMG an industry leader.
Here you’ll get to:
- You will help support the implementation of our new procurement department, establishing guidelines and key strategies.
- You will support the Strategic Sourcing Manager in the end-to-end procurement lifecycle across all Indirect Spend Categories.
- You will proactively support procurement leadership in the management of a portfolio of multi-million-dollar contracts, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk.
- You will conduct detailed spend analysis at various levels across categories, highlighting areas of opportunity for savings and synergies.
- You will provide support to business stakeholders in helping to understand procurement processes and workflows to improve efficiency across the organization, including serving as a SME for our Intake and Orchestration tool, providing training and user support.
- You will analyze responses to RFPs , providing key insights to procurement leadership to help drive negotiations and secure optimal pricing and terms.
About you:
- You have at least 4-6 years of experience in indirect procurement, with prior experience working with the categories IT/Technology, Corporate Services, Facilities and Marketing.
- You have a strong ability to perform analysis of data and provide actionable insights and suggestions as a result of your analysis.
- You are a strong communicator who can speak to your category and projects to procurement leadership.
- You are meticulous with a sharp eye for contract review.
- You are an expert in Microsoft Excel for financial and data analysis.
- You can build strong relationships with partners and suppliers.
- You have the ability to work independently and truly lead your projects and hit the ground running.
- You have strong experience building presentations that show actionable items and suggestions you have derived from your analysis.
We’d love it if you also had:
- A bachelor's degree in a related field such as Business, Finance, Supply/Operations
- Experience using Google Suite (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Gemini)
- Experience using AI tools such as Gemini to facilitate data analysis
- Familiarity with building procurement and category strategy
