We’re looking for an experienced Administration Manager / Senior Patient Services Officer to join our Oncology team at Cabrini on a permanent, full-time basis, working Monday to Friday.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of our Patient Services team, supporting and developing your people while ensuring our patients receive a consistently high standard of service. You’ll work closely with the broader multidisciplinary team and play an important role in creating an efficient, collaborative and patient-focused environment.

More specifically, you will:

• Lead, support and develop the Patient Services team, creating a positive, engaged and collaborative working environment.
• Oversee day-to-day patient services operations, ensuring the team delivers an efficient and welcoming experience for patients and their carers.
• Coach and develop team members through regular feedback, performance conversations and ongoing development.
• Champion the patient experience, responding to feedback and identifying opportunities to continuously improve our services.
• Support and lead change and continuous improvement initiatives across the practice.
• Develop strong working relationships with clinical teams and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide guidance on Radiation Oncology billing, Medicare, the Medicare Safety Net, private health funds and patient out-of-pocket costs.
• Support the team with complex patient accounts and billing enquiries.

About you

You’ll be an experienced healthcare administration professional who enjoys leading from the front, developing people and creating a great experience for both patients and your team.

You’ll also bring:

• Experience leading or supervising a team, ideally within a healthcare environment.
• Strong medical administration and reception experience.
• A genuine commitment to delivering exceptional, patient-centred service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with patients, team members and stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong coaching and people development skills.
• A collaborative, flexible and solutions-focused approach.
• Experience supporting change and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong medical billing and accounts processing knowledge, including Medicare, DVA and private health funds.
• Confidence using clinical administration systems and Microsoft Office.
