Job Responsibilities:

• Project development support, including technical analysis, solution design, integration, and implementation

• Develop, configure, test, enhance, and support APIs using IBM DataPower

• Design and build REST APIs and integrations across enterprise systems

• Design and implement API security solutions using OAuth2, JWT, and SSL/TLS

• Develop and support AWS-based integrations and hybrid environments, including analysis of integration requirements and technical issues

• Provide advanced production support by analyzing complex API and integration issues, performing root-cause analysis, and designing and implementing technical solutions

• Work with application, security, and infrastructure teams to analyze technical requirements, define integration specifications, and design and implement API solutions

• Analyze application and integration requirements and translate business and system needs into API functional and technical specifications

• Evaluate alternative technical approaches and design scalable API and integration solutions based on system, security, performance, and business requirements

• Develop and execute technical testing for APIs and integrations, including validation of functionality, performance, security, and system compatibility

What will this person be working on:

• Effectively manage daily technical development and integration activities and utilize PDCA to analyze system issues, implement technical improvements, and continuously improve API and integration solutions

• Achievement of customer satisfaction through reliable, scalable, and effective technical solutions and services provided by the team

• Ability to promote teamwork through technical consulting and collaboration with cross-functional teams to evaluate requirements, build consensus on technical solutions, and maintain accountability for implementation

• Analyze system performance and integration issues and implement technical solutions to maintain systems availability within 99%

• Complete assigned technical development, integration, and implementation deliverables within project cost and schedule targets of +/- 95%

• Analyze integration requirements and develop, integrate, enhance, and provide technical support for major Honda applications across multiple business units and platforms (Finance, Sales, Manufacturing, Warranty, and Parts) in both on-premises and cloud environments

Required skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems (IS), Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, and/or equivalent industry experience.

• 2-5 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing API solutions across various industries. Adept at leveraging cloud technologies and best practices in API management to deliver robust and scalable solutions.

• Working knowledge of cloud computing concepts and their application to API and integration solutions.

• Ability to lead technical collaboration across cross-functional teams and work with stakeholders to evaluate requirements, drive technical innovation, and achieve business objectives.

• Strong technical knowledge of API-related technologies, including IBM DataPower, REST APIs, ACE, IBM Cloud Pak, and Kafka, including their configuration, integration, implementation, and administration.

• Extensive technical application and integration support experience, including working with application teams to analyze complex issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement technical solutions.

• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure planning and development as it relates to API, cloud, and system integration solutions.

• Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.

• In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws as they relate to application, API, and data integration solutions.

• Automotive industry IT knowledge is preferred.

The hiring range for this position is $59.00 to $66.00 per hour, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay rate actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
