Join Dragonfly as a Delivery Contractor Liaison and play a key role in strengthening the partnerships that power our delivery network. Due to continued growth, we’re expanding our Operations team to better support our increasing network of Delivery Contractors. In this role, you’ll act as a trusted partner to contractors, providing performance insights, operational guidance, and support to help maintain a high-performing, scalable delivery network.
About Dragonfly:
Dragonfly stands for a different way of doing e-commerce delivery in Australia. Drawing on over three decades of experience as a market leader in Canada, Dragonfly is a new subsidiary that is hitting the ground running. Using the latest technologies and the right people ensures greater efficiencies, better results, and a superior customer experience.
At Dragonfly, it’s the littlest details that make the difference. We are a fast-paced company with a firm grip on market growth. We boast an agile working environment and do not shy away from challenges. Every member of our team is on the ground to guarantee on-time deliveries to doorsteps all around Australia.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a proactive and collaborative Delivery Contractor Liaison to join our Operations team and act as a trusted business partner to our network of Independent Delivery Contractors (IDCs). Reporting to the Delivery Partner Lead, you will support contractors in optimising their operations, managing seasonal capacity, and maintaining compliance, while providing insights and guidance to help them run sustainable and efficient delivery businesses.
You will oversee performance, analyse operational data, and provide recommendations to help contractors enhance service quality and meet delivery targets. You will also complete audits across your assigned region to ensure that contractors meet operational standards, insurance requirements, and compliance requirements. Additionally, you’ll serve as the primary point of contact for guidance, compliance issues, financial inquiries, and operational support, travelling as required to visit contractor locations and maintain strong relationships.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, and Finance teams to ensure processes, workflows, and service-level agreements (SLAs) are maintained across the network. Your work will play a critical role in supporting a reliable, flexible, and scalable delivery network, strengthening contractor relationships, and contributing to the overall efficiency and growth of Dragonfly’s operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with onboarding, training, and support delivery to contractors (IDCs), ensuring smooth integration and comprehension of Dragonfly processes and standards.
Monitor and review contractor performance, using data analysis and metrics to provide insights, recommendations, and guidance for improvement.
Ensure contractors are compliant with legislation, insurance requirements, and company policies, acting as the main point of contact for guidance, escalations, and financial enquiries.
Perform periodic audits of delivery contractors to ensure compliance with operational standards, insurance requirements, and company policies.
Partner with contractors to advise on managing capacity in line with seasonal demand, helping them plan for scaling up or down to meet changing delivery volumes efficiently.
Provide guidance and business insights to contractors, supporting them in structuring their operations and identifying opportunities for sustainable growth.
Conduct regular capability reviews, offer coaching, and recommend strategies to strengthen contractor performance.
Support the rollout of new initiatives, tools, and technology by providing advice, guidance, and training.
Coordinate with internal teams and work cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, and Finance to ensure proper processes, workflows, and service-level agreements (SLAs) are met across your network.
Analyse operational data, end-of-day carryovers, and route performance to inform contractors and internal teams of trends, opportunities, and potential improvements.
Act as a trusted business partner and liaison, providing strategic insights, recommendations, and support.
Champion Dragonfly’s core values of Innovation, Teamwork, Customer focus and Diligence.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Experience in logistics, last-mile delivery, fleet, or operations environments, ideally supporting contractor or driver networks.
Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence external partners or contractors.
Experience in monitoring performance and analysing operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Understanding of contractor management, including onboarding, engagement, and performance discussions.
Knowledge of compliance requirements such as insurance, safety, and operational standards.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams like Operations, Sales, and Finance in a fast-paced environment.
Strong customer-focused mindset with the ability to troubleshoot, negotiate, and find compromises to support positive outcomes.
Ability to travel as required to visit contractor locations, support operations, and maintain strong relationships across the delivery network
