Physician - Pediatric Neuropsychologist, Corewell Health Royal Oak, MI

The McBrien Pediatric Neuroscience Clinic is seeking a full-time board eligible/board certified Pediatric Neuropsychologist to join our thriving group in Royal Oak, Michigan. The neuropsychologist joining this practice will enjoy being part of a rapidly growing and expanding children’s neurosciences program with physician status and ample opportunities to work with medically complex pediatric populations. The pediatric neuropsychologist will have opportunity to serve in various multidisciplinary clinics and play an integral role in program development, including training programs.

The position will be in an outpatient practice, serving patients from the McBrien Pediatric Neuroscience Clinic as well as other Corewell subspecialty clinics in the area. The neuropsychologist will complete neuropsychological evaluations for medically complex children, typical referral conditions including epilepsy, brain tumors, head injury, neurovascular disorders, genetic syndromes, movement disorders, prematurity, and toxin exposure. Neuropsychological evaluations are also conducted within the context of pre-and post-neurosurgical evaluations. There is also support for clinical research.

 

Qualifications:

• Required Doctorate Ph.D. or PsyD in clinical psychology, counseling psychology or clinical neuropsychology; and post-doctoral fellowship: 2 year formal post-doctoral fellowship in Neuropsychology

• Experience working in an outpatient and inpatient neuropsychology setting Preferred

• LIC-Psychologist - STATE_MI State of Michigan required

• CRT-Board Eligible/Board Cert Clinical Neuropsychology

Practice Description:

The new pediatric neuropsychologist will join the McBrien Pediatric Neuroscience Clinic. This expanding division includes 2 pediatric neuropsychologists, 4 pediatric neurologists, 5 pediatric epileptologists, 1 pediatric and adult neurosurgeon, 1 sleep medicine physician, and 9 nurse practitioners. This clinic also houses neurogenetic counseling and social work teams who are available to support these providers.

The McBrien Pediatric Neuroscience Clinic is located on the 3rd floor of the Neuroscience Building on the Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital Campus. This 1131-bed hospital is a Level I Adult Trauma Center and a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center.
