CNC Maintenance Technician
Location: Sedalia, Missouri
Pay: $45–$60 per hour
Job Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time | Onsite
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced CNC Maintenance Technician for a direct-hire opportunity with a growing industrial manufacturing operation in Sedalia, Missouri.
This is a hands-on maintenance position responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC machinery, machining centers, robotics, and related manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and at least 5 years of direct CNC maintenance experience.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machines, machining centers, manual equipment, robotics, and supporting manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, and control-related equipment problems.
- Install, service, and maintain machine tools and associated control systems.
- Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic schematics and technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot AC and DC variable-speed drive systems.
- Perform machine alignments using conventional, laser, and electronic methods.
- Use precision measuring equipment to verify machine alignment and condition.
- Troubleshoot and service pumps and related mechanical systems.
- Perform preventative and planned maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
- Respond quickly to machine-down situations and production equipment failures.
- Document maintenance activities and work orders through a CMMS.
- Use OEM manuals, technical documentation, and vendor resources to diagnose equipment issues.
- Support predictive maintenance activities including vibration analysis, thermal imaging, and oil analysis.
- Follow established safety procedures and safe rigging practices.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of CNC maintenance experience required.
- Strong understanding of CNC machine operation and design.
- Industrial mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
- Strong hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
- Electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics.
- Experience using electrical meters, test equipment, and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment such as forklifts.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
- Must be able to successfully complete required pre-employment screenings.
Preferred Experience
Experience in any of the following is a plus:
- Welding and fabrication
- Machining or milling
- Industrial mechanical maintenance

Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to work throughout a large manufacturing facility, climb ladders and stairs, work on uneven surfaces, and lift up to 50 pounds. Work may be performed in varying environmental conditions.
Compensation
$45–$60 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
This is a direct-hire, full-time, onsite position in Sedalia, Missouri.
