Job Summary

INDUSTRIAL PRETREATMENT: Performs responsible work in supervising the overall operational requirements of the Industrial Wastewater Pretreatment Program involving Permitting Activities, Enforcement and Regulatory Activities, Investigative and Inspection Activities, Project Management of Remedial Activities, Sampling Activities, Laboratory Data Review, and Records Retention. Oversight of the Silver Program, Multi-Jurisdictional Activities, Compliance Reporting, and the Revenue Meter Program. Prepares performance standards and evaluates work performance of subordinates; counsels employees regarding meeting performance requirements; recommends awards, training and disciplinary actions. Work is performed under general supervision of the Environmental Manager and performance is reviewed through conferences, reports, and results obtained.


Minimum Qualifications:
INDUSTRIAL PRETREATMENT: Associate's Degree with major coursework in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field and seven (7) years combined experience in industrial pretreatment or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Industrial Pretreatment Level ""A"" Certificate required. Must meet minimal requirements for Environmental Specialist III. FDEP Field Audits/Certifications in all applicable disciplines for environmental data and sample collection is desired. Valid Florida Driver's License required. Must obtain a GOAA Id within ninety (90) days of employment.
 

GOAA Criminal History Record Check and Security Threat Assessments Disqualifying Crimes: If you have ever pleaded guilty or nolo-contendere ("no contest") to, had an adjudication withheld, been convicted or found not guilty by reason of insanity to any of the following under Title 49 CFR 1542.209 and 1544.229

  • Violence at international airports
  • Felony involving willful destruction of property
  • Felony involving a threat
  • Felony involving importation or manufacture of a controlled substance
  • Felony involving burglary
  • Felony involving theft
  • Felony involving dishonesty, fraud, or misrepresentation
  • Felony involving possession or distribution of stolen property
  • Felony involving aggravated assault
  • Felony involving bribery
  • Felony involving illegal possession of a controlled substance punishable by a maximum term of imprisonment of more than 1 year.
  • Forgery of certificates, false making of aircraft and other aircraft registration violations
  • Interference with air navigation
  • Improper transportation of a hazardous material
  • Aircraft piracy
  • Interference with flight crew members or flight attendants
  • Commission of certain crimes aboard an aircraft in flight
  • Carrying a weapon or explosive aboard an aircraft
  • Conveying false information and threats
  • Aircraft piracy outside the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States
  • Lighting violations involving transporting controlled substances
  • Unlawful entry into an aircraft or airport area that serves air carriers or foreign air carriers contrary to established security requirements
  • Destruction of an aircraft or aircraft facility
  • Murder
  • Assault with intent to murder
  • Espionage
  • Sedition
  • Kidnapping or hostage taking
  • Treason
  • Rape or aggravated sexual abuse
  • Unlawful possession, use, sale, distribution, or manufacture of an explosive or weapon
  • Extortion
  • Armed or felony unarmed robbery
  • Distribution of, or intent to distribute a controlled substance
  • Felony arson
  • Conspiracy or attempt to commit any of the aforementioned criminal acts.
