Senior Staff Engineer , Unit Process Engineering

Are you an experienced semiconductor engineering professional passionate about equipment excellence , process optimization , and smart manufacturing ? Join us as a Senior Staff Engineer, Unit Process Engineering , where you will play a critical role in driving the performance, reliability, and innovation of our Backend Scan-Pack and AOI manufacturing platforms . In this role, you will lead initiatives to optimize equipment uptime, improve yield and process stability, and support the introduction of new technologies in a high-volume manufacturing environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to solve complex engineering challenges while driving Industry 4.0 , automation , and continuous improvement initiatives. Your role Key responsibilities in your new role Be responsible for Semiconductor Backend Scan, Pack, AOI Equipment , and Unit Process Engineering operations. Own the maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of Scan & Pack equipment performance, availability, and stability . Drive Preventive Maintenance (PM) optimization , spare parts readiness , MTBA/MTBF improvements , downtime reduction , and cost-saving initiatives . Lead and actively participate in Industry 4.0 , factory automation , process improvement , and cross-functional cost reduction projects . Own and maintain Machine & Process FMEA , OJTI programs , OCAP troubleshooting guides , PM checklists , and support technician capability development . Lead investigations on customer returns , deviation management , crisis management , risk assessment , and mitigation activities . Enhance process stability , support production ramp-up , and drive defect reduction and yield improvement through data analytics and machine learning . Support the qualification and release of new equipment and processes , including equipment buy-off , process qualification , recipe setup , capability studies , and production ramp support for MSP platforms . Your profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed  Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering , or an equivalent discipline . Minimum 5 years of experience in the Semiconductor Manufacturing Industry . Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with semiconductor MSP / Scan-Pack platforms , including: KLA Tencor systems Handler systems AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) / Vision systems Pick-and-place equipment Shuttle handling systems Packing-related equipment and materials Demonstrated problem-solving abilities , strong communication skills , and proven leadership experience , including vendor and supplier management . Expertise in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) , Lean Six Sigma , 8D Problem Solving Methodology , and APC/SPC (Advanced Process Control / Statistical Process Control) . Proficient in data analysis and data visualization tools , such as: Minitab JMP Tableau Power BI Experience with IATF 16949 Quality Management System requirements and change management processes . Ability to drive continuous improvement , equipment performance optimization , and manufacturing excellence initiatives in a high-volume semiconductor environment. #WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.
