Position Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
- Design, review, and execute test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Exploratory, and UAT testing.
- Conduct end-to-end validation of business workflows across multiple systems.
- Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
- Perform root cause analysis and assist developers in reproducing issues.
- Validate APIs using tools such as Postman.
- Execute database validations using SQL queries.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Grooming, Daily Stand-ups, and Retrospectives.
- Prepare test execution reports, test summary reports, and quality metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
- Contribute to process improvements, testing best practices, and quality initiatives.
Required Skills
Testing Fundamentals
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
- Experience in Test Planning, Test Design, and Test Execution.
- Knowledge of:
- Functional Testing
- Regression Testing
- Integration Testing
- System Testing
- Smoke/Sanity Testing
- Exploratory Testing
- UAT Support
Requirement Analysis
- Ability to analyze requirements and identify gaps.
- Create comprehensive test scenarios from business requirements.
- Strong risk identification and impact analysis skills.
Defect Management
- Experience working with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Ability to write clear and reproducible defect reports.
- Experience in defect triage and verification.
Database Testing
- Strong SQL knowledge.
- Ability to validate backend data and execute database queries.
- Experience with MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
API Testing
- Experience testing REST APIs using Postman or similar tools.
- Understanding of:
- HTTP Methods
- Status Codes
- JSON Validation
- Authentication Mechanisms
Desired Skills. Good to have not mandatory.
- Basic understanding of Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or any automation framework.
- Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and test execution pipelines.
- Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
- Experience in cloud-based applications and microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of accessibility and cross-browser testing.
Educational Qualifications
- BE / B.Tech / MCA / M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Equivalent experience may be considered.
