Exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced medical team within a growing federally qualified community health center. HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc. “The Heart of Our Community” provides comprehensive services including adult/pediatric medical care, health education, health assessment and screenings, gynecology, cardiology, behavioral health, substance use treatment, and adult/pediatric dental care. 


Dental Assistant Supervisor & Infection Control Coordinator Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Chief Dental Officer, the Dental Assistant Supervisor (RDH) provides direct supervision to all Dental Assisting and Dental Outreach Staff including development of schedules for the assistants; maintains sterilization and infection control protocols; and supports the dental department in a variety of administrative and clerical functions. This position also includes clinical time working as a Dental Hygienist, providing oral healthcare to our dental patients as per the dentist’s instructions. The healthcare consists of cleaning, scaling, polishing teeth, taking/processing X-rays, sealants, Fluoride treatment, and teaching oral hygiene.


Schedule: Mon, Tues, Thurs & Fri: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm; Wed OFF

Evenings and Saturday coverage if needed


Pay Range: $82,374.15 – $93,225.61 annually*


*The pay range represents HealthFirst’s good faith estimate for this role at the time of posting, in compliance with applicable laws. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors such as relevant experience, education, skills, internal equity, market conditions, and budget considerations. Candidates with less direct experience may be placed at the lower end of the range, while those with more significant or specialized experience may be considered at the higher end.


Benefits:

Required Qualifications:

  1. Successful completion of an accredited Dental Hygiene program and a Massachusetts Registered Dental Hygienist License are required.
  2. Prior experience working as a Dental Assistant, preferably in a community health setting.
  3. 2-3 years staff supervision experience preferred.
  4. Bilingual (English, Spanish/Portuguese) preferred. 
  5. Experience with Epic Wisdom or Electronic Medical Record required. 
  6. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications required.
  7. Satisfactory completion of continuing education credits as mandated by any professional boards, licensing agencies, or credentialing organizations as applicable.
  8. Must submit CORI and demonstrate proof of being free from disqualifying information.

  9. Detail-oriented and accurate.
