Inventory Tech

Description

This position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day supply and inventory needs of River Hills Surgery Center. This position helps ensure clinical and non-clinical supplies are received, organized, stocked, tracked, and readily available to support safe and efficient patient care. The Inventory Technician works closely with surgery center leadership, clinical staff, and vendors to maintain appropriate inventory levels, reduce waste, and ensure supplies are available when needed. As knowledge and experience within the role develop, this position may assume additional responsibilities related to case preparation, purchasing, implant management, vendor coordination, and other supply chain functions. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Receive, inspect, and put away incoming supply deliveries. 
• Verify shipments against packing slips and purchase orders and communicate any discrepancies. 
• Stock and organize supplies in designated storage areas throughout the surgery center. 
• Maintain appropriate PAR levels and replenish supplies as needed. 
• Monitor inventory levels and identify items that need to be reordered. 
• Monitor expiration dates, Identify and remove expired, damaged, recalled, or otherwise unusable products according to facility procedures. 
• Help prepare and organize supplies needed for upcoming surgical cases. 
• Communicate supply shortages, backorders, substitutions, or other inventory concerns to appropriate team members. 
• Work collaboratively with clinical staff to identify changing supply needs. 
• Perform other supply chain, inventory, and operational duties as assigned. 

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required. 
• Previous inventory, materials management, warehouse, healthcare, or surgery center experience preferred. 
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory management systems. 
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently. 
• Strong communication and teamwork skills. 
• Ability to recognize and communicate inventory discrepancies or supply concerns promptly. 
• Healthcare supply, medical terminology, or surgical supply knowledge is preferred but not required.
