Integration and testing technician (Open also to Protected Categories, Law 68/99)

Gorgonzola hosts Navigations Air Systems (NAS) domain. The activity of NAS domain: avionics, navigation and radar systems for civil air traffic and technologies supporting the activities of civilian and military pilots, ATC controllers and technicians of several airlines, air traffic control agencies and Air Force around the world. Italy is the Group’s Competence center for the design, production and delivery of Navigation Aids products and Competence Centre for the delivery of non-Radar Surveillance Products.

JOB OBJECTIVE

Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing and being part of a manufacturing work team, she/he is responsible for testing and repairing electronic boards part of our product portfolio of air navigation equipment.

The individual in this role is responsible for the integration of Military mechanical components with electronic boards (e.g., Apparatus, Antennas, Remote Controls), as well as with assemblies that do not include electronic parts (e.g., Antennas and mechanical sub assemblies). This includes troubleshooting and repairing assembled products as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Integrate mechanical and electronic components in accordance with technical specifications.
• Assemble and repair mechanical subassemblies with or without electronic components.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, manufacturing documentation, material specifications, and production cycle data.
• Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes and demonstrate proficiency in brazing techniques, ensuring high-quality joints and compliance with standards.
• Depending on experience and skill level, participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) to validate product performance and compliance with project requirements and reference standards.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma in Mechanical or Electronics required; higher education is a plus.
• Proven ability to interpret technical and electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with production documentation and quality standards.
• Familiarity with soldering techniques (IPC certification is a plus).
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills for repair and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a production environment.
• Previous experience in product testing or FAT is a plus and may be required for senior roles.
• 5–10 years of experience in electronics assembly or testing; RF (Radio Frequency) knowledge is preferred.
• Familiarity with Electronic Test Equipment and standard instrumentation (e.g., Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, Network Analyzer, Power Meter, etc.
• Strong adaptability, teamwork, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of English is a plus
