Position Summary:
About the Practice
We are standing up a new Digital Advisory practice — including a value-added reseller (VAR) practice — to help middle-market clients modernize their core business systems and get measurable value from technology. We advise, select, implement, and optimize modern ERP and connected business platforms, and we go deep in four verticals: healthcare, construction, not-for-profit, and manufacturing. Deep, industry-specific expertise is central to how we differentiate — we serve clients as specialists who understand their business, not generalists — so relevant experience in these industries is highly valued across every role.
This is a build-from-the-ground-up opportunity. As a founding member of the practice you will help shape our service offerings, delivery methodology, partner alliances, and culture — with the backing, brand, and client base of an established firm behind you. We are in the process of selecting our anchor platform partners from among the leading mid-market ERP and business-application publishers, and early team members will help define that ecosystem.
Role Summary
The Senior Consultant for Automation, Integration & AI is a hands-on builder who connects and extends our clients’ ERP and business platforms — designing the integrations, process automations, and applied-AI solutions that turn a collection of systems into a connected, intelligent operation. Working alongside the Solution Architect, you will own automation, integration, and AI workstreams end to end and help define the accelerators and reference patterns that make these capabilities a repeatable part of every engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Integration
Design and build integrations between ERP, CRM, and connected SaaS and on-premises applications using iPaaS/middleware, APIs (REST/SOAP), events, and webhooks.
Own data migration, transformation, and pipeline work in support of implementations.
Automation
Design and deliver workflow and process automations — low-code/no-code, RPA, and event-driven — that streamline client operations and reduce manual effort.
Identify automation opportunities during discovery and translate them into pragmatic, maintainable solutions.
Applied AI
Design and implement applied-AI solutions — intelligent document processing, LLM-based assistants and copilots, retrieval-augmented generation, and agentic workflows — embedded into client business processes.
Apply AI responsibly, with attention to security, data governance, accuracy, and clear guardrails.
Delivery & Practice-Building
Partner with the Solution Architect on connected-system architecture and help build the practice’s automation, integration, and AI accelerators, reference patterns, and playbooks.
Support demos, scoping, and estimates for automation/integration/AI workstreams, and maintain high client satisfaction and target billable utilization.
Qualifications
Required
5+ years building integrations and automations in a consulting or enterprise environment, including hands-on work connecting ERP/CRM and SaaS applications.
Strong hands-on experience with integration/iPaaS platforms, APIs, and data transformation, plus solid development skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL).
Demonstrated delivery of process automation (workflow automation, RPA, or low-code) and practical, applied-AI capabilities.
Working knowledge of modern AI patterns — LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, intelligent document processing, or agentic workflows — with a pragmatic view of where they add real value.
Ability to run workstreams independently, manage client relationships, and communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders.
Preferred
Experience embedding automation and AI into ERP or business-process contexts, and familiarity with at least one of our target industries: healthcare, construction, not-for-profit, or manufacturing.
Experience with a major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and relevant integration, automation, or AI/ML certifications.
Exposure to building delivery methodology, accelerators, or reusable technical assets.
Compensation
Target base salary range of $120,000–$160,000, plus a utilization/performance bonus. This band reflects the premium the market places on strong integration and applied-AI skills, and exceptional candidates may be considered above the range. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Discretionary incentive compensation is based on firm, group, and individual performance.
