Position Overview:
We are seeking a Transducer Engineering Intern to support new product development for the Navico Group Transducer Engineering (xdcrGroup) team. Activities will include materials and process related engineering work in the Tulsa transducer Lab. This position reports to the Transducer Engineering Lead. The main responsibility will be to assist the xdcrGroup in developing electromechanical configurations and processes for effective transduction of acoustic and electric energy. The candidate will be required to perform various duties in the laboratory and document the processes and results in words and pictures. Educational experience in the following disciplines is preferred: Physics, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (emphasis in materials), and Electrical Engineering (emphasis in materials).

Essential Functions:
- Assist the xdcrGroup engineers with lab work
- Assist the xdcrGroup engineers with field tests
- Help develop transducer forming processes
- Assist in the production of transducer prototypes
- This internship will be a full-time commitment from May to August with potential for part-time work during the school semesters
Internship Projects to include:
- Learning about transducer materials and processes
- Learn transducer design principles
- Learn acoustic design principles
- Participate in the development of new transducer designs
- Learn about product development cycles

Required Qualifications:
- Working towards Bachelor of Applied Science (Phys, Mech, Elec, Chem) or equivalent
- Able to work independently and within groups
- Able to synthesize a solution when design inputs are vague or incomplete
- Comfortable in multi-tasking situations
- Comfortable with priority shifts
- Selfless, can-do attitude, willing to learn
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States immediately, without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the materials processing and handling
- Experience in numerical estimations
- Experience with MS PowerPoint
- Experience in process documentation
- Boating, fishing and/or marine industry experience is beneficial but not required.
- Good interpersonal skills

- Feedback and Performance Reviews: As a co-op or intern, you will receive feedback and performance reviews throughout your assignment. We value the importance for interns to understand their progress and areas for improvement.
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $27.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate offered will vary depending on multiple factors including year in school/credits earned, degree, job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
