Job Summary

92NY Gymnastics is home to a growing and dynamic Rhythmic Gymnastics program dedicated to serving and strengthening the rhythmic community. We provide a focused, supportive training environment where athletes can build their skills, confidence, and passion for the sport while coaches are empowered to grow, collaborate, and make a meaningful impact.

 

We are currently seeking an experienced Rhythmic Gymnastics Lead Coach and enthusiastic Rhythmic Gymnastics Team Coaches to help grow and develop our rhythmic gymnastics program. These are year-round opportunities for coaches who are passionate about athlete development, teamwork, and creating a positive and encouraging training environment.

 

Our Fall semester begins September 14th.

 

Training is available, though experienced coaches and teachers are preferred. Candidates must have experience working with children. We offer flexible scheduling with no minimum hour requirement, competitive pay, and the opportunity to grow within a welcoming and collaborative team.

Job Responsibilities Include

  • Ensure the safety and appropriate supervision of competitive rhythmic gymnasts at all times, including the use of proper spotting techniques and safety protocols.
  • Deliver age- and level-appropriate instruction with a strong working knowledge of rhythmic gymnastics technique, apparatus skills, choreography, and athlete development.
  • Provide proper spotting and hands-on assistance as needed to support safe skill progression.
  • Plan and lead structured, engaging practices that support individual athlete development and overall team goals.
  • Develop, teach, and refine routines and choreography appropriate to each gymnast’s competitive level.
  • Monitor athlete progress and provide consistent, constructive feedback to support skill development, confidence, and performance.
  • Complete athlete progress evaluations on a regular basis and communicate level placement and advancement recommendations to families, as appropriate.
  • Track athlete attendance and promptly communicate concerns, injuries, incidents, or other issues to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, trainings, professional development opportunities, and team-related events.
  • Attend competitive meets and provide coaching, supervision, preparation, and support to athletes throughout competition.
  • Foster a positive, focused, and supportive team environment that promotes sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, and respect.
  • Maintain professional and effective communication with athletes, families, fellow coaches, and program leadership.

Experience, Education, & Skills Desired

  • USA Gymnastics Instructor or Professional certification preferred.
  • HS Diploma required - Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Prior coaching experience preferred.
  • USA Gymnastics certification preferred.
  • CPR certification required within 6 months of hire date which 92NY can support with.

Per Diem Compensation Range

$25 - $40/hour

 

The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
