Scope of Position
This motivated and enthusiastic individual, committed to quality l, as part of the Electronics Manufacturing team will be responsible for To develop, implement and lead the Quality Assurance programs to ensure that the company meets or exceeds goals and customer requirements. Focus areas include developing and leading the Quality Management System, product design and development quality, Production and Supplier Quality, Product quality and customer satisfaction processes.
This position is responsible for supervision of one direct report and reports to The Operations Manager.
This role is onsite and is based in Vernon BC, Canada.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall development, implementation, direction, coordination, and evaluation of Quality Assurance/Quality Control, and Document Control processes including ISO 9001, etc. (tekmar Quality Management System (QMS))
Responsible for Customer Quality, Supplier Quality and internal Quality Assurance and control activities
Champion the position of the customer
Management of the Corrective and Preventive Action System
Responsible for all quality metrics including Customer Quality, Supplier Quality, Cost of Quality and internal quality Assurance and control activities
Significant participation and ownership of areas related to in the New Product Development process to lead and participate in initiatives to ensure new products are thoroughly vetted and are of the highest quality standard (DFMEA, identifying critical to quality requirements, sampling, process controls, certifications, PFMEA, APQP, etc. ) and meet all design specifications
Responsible for ensuring company compliance with all applicable government regulations and industry standards relevant to electronic manufacturing
Management of direct reports
Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or Company management.
Responsibility directly tied to Watts Value of Integrity and Continuous Improvement
Travel Requirements: 10%
Required Qualifications
At least 7 years-experience with the use and implementation of Quality concepts in a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated minimum of 5 years’ experience in people management, with end‑to‑end responsibility for the employee lifecycle.
Comprehensive knowledge of Engineering, and Quality principles, concepts, practices, and theories
Knowledge of Inspection and Quality Control Methods, techniques and equipment used in a manufacturing environment
Ability to work with Customer/Supplier representatives for all quality related issues
Regulatory experience such as CSA and UL required
Excellent organizational skills with focus on detail
Excellent written and oral communication skills essential to connect with audiences that vary from employees to leadership; from direct reports to peers; from customers to suppliers; and regulatory agencies.
Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, as a condition of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with the implementation of Quality concepts in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma Black Belt related methodologies
Preferred experience or working knowledge in Continuous Improvement, Lean methodologies, and Supply Chain Management (APICS).

Working Conditions
While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site at a manufacturing facility and will perform the majority of your duties in an office environment. You may, at times, be required to be present on the manufacturing floor and will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. You will be required to work in the office at the Vernon, BC Canada location (Monday – Friday). Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.
Physical Requirements: Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to:
Ability to remain seated at a desk or workstation for extended periods.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks like typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods.
Ability to physically move around the office, organize or transport files, packages, or other office-related materials.

Ability to communicate clearly with management and coworkers, particularly in meetings or phone calls.
Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers.
Ability to occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment.
Pay Range
The expected salary range for this position is $100,000- $115,000 yearly. This position is eligible for additional time off accrual and a bonus program. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable law.
