As a Security Officer Armed Healthcare Services in Fort Lauderdale, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. - Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities in accordance with site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and assist with visitor direction and traffic flow in accordance with site-specific requirements.
- Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and comply with applicable laws, regulations, Allied Universal policies, and post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
- Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
- Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
