Job summary:
The Agent Sales II is responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships, identifying insurance solutions, and driving new business growth through consultative sales and service activities. This role partners with individuals, families, and businesses to assess insurance needs, recommend appropriate coverage options, and deliver exceptional customer service throughout the client lifecycle.
The Agent Sales II works with moderate independence, demonstrates strong product knowledge, and consistently meets production, retention, and client satisfaction goals.
Key Responsibilities
• Generate new business opportunities through referrals, prospecting, networking, and lead follow-up.
• Conduct client needs assessments and recommend appropriate insurance products and solutions.
• Educate clients on coverage options, benefits, exclusions, and policy features.
• Prepare and present insurance proposals and quotations.
• Assist clients throughout the application, underwriting, and policy issuance process.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with clients to support retention and cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet or exceed established sales, production, and customer service objectives.
• Ensure compliance with carrier guidelines, state regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation within CRM and sales platforms.
• Collaborate with internal service, underwriting, and operations teams to support client needs.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of insurance sales, financial services sales, or related experience.
• Active state insurance license(s) or ability to obtain required licensing.
• Proven ability to meet sales and customer service goals.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and consultative selling skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
