- Patient Rights and Advocacy involves respecting and accommodating the patient’s cultural, linguistic, religious, and family needs by utilizing professional interpreters and ensuring that Advance Directives are addressed
- Comprehensive Assessment requires the nurse to perform and document timely, age-appropriate, and holistic patient assessments including risks for falls, skin integrity, nutrition, and abuse at a ninety-five (95) percent compliance rate
- Collaborative Care Planning entails the development and consistent updating of individualized, multidisciplinary plans of care that define clear nursing goals and interventions tailored to the patient’s specific developmental stage and needs
- Safe and Effective Implementation involves executing nursing interventions, hourly rounds, and physician orders in strict accordance with facility policies while prioritizing patient safety and clear communication with the healthcare team
- Continuous Evaluation and Documentation requires the nurse to actively monitor patient progress and post-procedure status by updating care plans every shift and maintaining accurate, complete medical records to ensure high-quality and complaint-free care
- Competency Assurance involves maintaining and demonstrating ongoing developmental, cultural, and linguistic proficiency through direct observation, consistent auditing of medical records, and strict adherence to all facility policies and legal standards

Job Requirements
Required
- Registered Nurse: CA
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - CPR
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), within eighteen (18) months
Preferred
- Current MICN
- Previous acute or emergency experience a plus
- Certification for Emergency Nurse (CEN) Certificate
- Bilingual
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
