The Key Purpose of this role is to execute all requirements relating to Safety, Quality, Governance, Inbound Logistics, Outbound Logistics, and interfaces with Packaging and Brewing Process Areas (where applicable) to satisfy internal and external stakeholder service levels through effective reporting, problem solving, and compliance with operational standards.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
KPI Management
Effective KPI management through reporting and problem solving using 5 WHY, Abnormality Reports, SIC, OPLs, RACI's, OWD's, and PDCA's.
Excellence Programmes
Ensure implementation and compliance of VPO and DPO Excellence Programmes.
Safety
Territorial safety ownership within logistics operations.
Conduct shiftly stacking inspections as per legal requirements.
Monitor fleet systems (e.g. FMX) and investigate transgressions.
Conduct safety behaviour observations.
Set and track SIF precursor targets.
Conduct OWDs on safety and operational standard operating procedures.
Ensure Department of Labour stacking exemptions are complied with.
Quality
Ensure quality standards are adhered to as per VPO and DPO requirements.
Manage batch traceability of raw materials where applicable.
Conduct quality checks on inbound and outbound finished goods.
Ensure no out-of-specification or inferior quality stock is received or dispatched.
Ensure stock is stored correctly and complies with FEFO requirements.
Ensure food safety requirements are adhered to.
Perform salvage transactions in ERP following quality sign-off.
Stock Count
Execute daily stock counts using HHT.
Perform recounts based on variance tolerance.
Resolve stock discrepancies between physical stock and ERP.
Inbound Logistics
Verify inbound loads against ERP records and documentation.
Record returns accurately prior to unloading.
Receive, check, unload and GRN loads in SAP.
Monitor delivery schedules and inbound plans.
Escalate risks timeously.
Complete all documentation accurately.
Outbound Logistics
Verify outbound loads against ERP records and documentation.
Update shipment status in SAP.
Dispatch loads in SAP upon verification.
Monitor outbound plans to manage warehouse capacity, FTCT and OTIF.
Process returns transactions in ERP.
Complete all documentation accurately.
Packaging and Brewing Process Area Interfaces
Issue materials to Packaging and Brewing Process Areas/Staging Locations.
Receive finished goods from packaging lines.
Issue empties to packaging lines.
Control documentation for all movements.
Ensure ERP accurately reflects all movements.
Conduct shiftly and daily reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
DCBL sign-off
Trace and resolve DCBL impacts.
MBFU sampling results sign-off and review.
FRI planning, testing, sign-off and review.
Sorting Operation and Sampling
Communicate daily priorities.
Manage productivity and safety.
Ensure MBFU results are reflected in the portal.
Conduct quality checks on sorting standards.
Analyse MBFU results and participate in problem solving.
Process sorting adjustments, write-offs and write-ups in ERP.
Picking Operation
Ensure replenishment according to FEFO.
Manage productivity, picking accuracy and safety.
Pallet Repairs
Manage productivity, safety and overtime.
Control movement documentation.
Ensure ERP accurately reflects movements.
Breakages Management
Populate and report the breakages register daily.
Process breakages and salvages in ERP.
Ensure salvages are repacked according to VPO and DPO standards.
Decanting Operation
Control movement documentation.
Communicate daily priorities.
Manage productivity and safety.
Ensure adherence to VPO, DPO and 5S standards.
Overpacking
Communicate daily priorities.
Manage productivity and safety.
Ensure adherence to VPO, DPO and 5S standards.
Process overpacking transactions in ERP.
Blocked Stock and FEFO Management
Manage stock blocking in SAP according to VPO/DPO standards.
Apply FEFO principles.
Record BB dates accurately.
Ensure efficient stock handling, storage and rotation.
Ensure compliance with physical blocking standards.
Generate bin pulling sheets and update bin cards.
Bottle Loss Management
Ensure ERP transactions reflect all loss points within logistics operations.
Support packaging interface processes and routines.
SCOH Management
Ensure ERP transactions reflect all loss points.
Ensure gate control SOPs are followed on inbound and outbound loads.
Forklift Management
Log and facilitate breakdowns.
Implement and monitor fleet systems.
Complete job card sign-offs.
Manage permits to work.
5S
Ensure 5S compliance within logistics operations.
LCA
Ensure implementation and compliance with LCA audit requirements.
PTP Process
Manage GRIR/VIM queries.
General
Liaise with internal and external customers.
Support team goals and VPO principles.
Participate in shift handovers.
Prepare for handover and ensure problem solving is completed.
