Job Description:
- Lead, develop, and engage the Manufacturing Engineering production team to meet demanding schedule, quality, cost, and safety requirements under the local labor legal context.
- Deliver complete Manufacturing Dossiers (including standard planning, MBOM, Assembly procedures/SOIs, Standard Allocated Times, and industrial means specifications) for every new program within the AIT scope, fully utilizing the DDMS toolset.
- Provide feasible Industrial Plans and accurate ME Non-Recurrent and Recurrent (NRC/RC) cost estimations to support bidding activities and cost brochures for EOS and TNS offers.
- Manage key internal stakeholders within the EOS and TNS environments, coordinating closely with Program Business Lines, AIT, Environmental Testing, Electrical/Functional, RF, and Mechanical & Thermal Engineering Leads.
- Maintain strict adherence to cost targets and Estimate at Completion (EAC) budgets in coordination with Program Managers, under the supervision of Space Systems Spain Finance controllers.
- Drive continuous improvement and foster innovation initiatives with tangible results in the Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) area, ensuring all company and departmental standards are followed.
- Education: Aeronautical, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering degree or a related discipline.
- Experience: Proven experience in Manufacturing Engineering (ME) and Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) within the space sector or high-precision industrial environments, alongside experience leading and developing engineering teams.
- Soft skills: Excellent leadership, team management, and stakeholder coordination capabilities, high adaptability, and strong communication skills.
- Languages: Advanced level in both English and Spanish (written and verbal).
- Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of spacecraft manufacturing domains (thermo-mechanical assembly, electrical hardware integration, test set-up, satellite final integration, and handling/shipping). In-depth knowledge of special processes, laser/DEA optical alignment, tolerance stack-up, MGSE/containers, and clean room standards.
- Valuable / Nice to have: Experience with DDMS toolset and exposure to Earth Observation & Science (EOS) or Telecom Navigation (TNS) program environments
