Description
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will support plant operations at the Archbold, Ohio manufacturing facility by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and production equipment. You will help ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance while partnering with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Hourly rate of pay: $27.55 - $33.73 - based on experience.
A Taste of Your Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical equipment, controls, motors, drives, panels, and production systems.
- Inspect, test, and diagnose electrical components to identify root causes of equipment failures.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability.
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Install and modify electrical equipment to support plant projects and operational improvements.
- Follow all plant safety requirements, electrical codes, lockout/tagout procedures, and food safety standards.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history within maintenance systems.
- Partner with production and maintenance teams to prioritize work and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost, and productivity.
Ingredients Required for Your Success
- High school diploma or GED.
- Journeyman Electrician certification, electrical technology training, or equivalent electrical maintenance experience.
- Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of motors, motor controls, variable frequency drives, sensors, relays, and electrical distribution systems.
- Understanding of electrical safety practices and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple assignments.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and other shifts as business needs require.
Physical Requirements

- Being on your feet, walking around the facility, climbing stairs/ladders or kneeling for extended periods of time.

- Frequently lifting, pushing or carrying materials.
