Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Specialty Clinic Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a central figure in our patient care team, delivering exceptional, compassionate care that truly makes a difference in our patients' lives.

 

Every day, you will collaborate on comprehensive screenings, conduct critical risk assessments, provide vital preventative health education, and expertly coordinate care for diverse patient populations, leveraging technology to streamline processes. You'll ensure patients feel informed and at ease, patiently guiding them through instructions and addressing their concerns.

 

To be successful in this role, you will combine robust clinical knowledge and technological proficiency with genuine compassion, strong communication skills, and an adaptable approach to learning and patient-centered care.

 

• Clinical Assessment & Care Planning: Conduct initial patient assessments and orientations, and collaborate with the Exercise Physiologist to develop and implement individualized plans of care.
• Exercise Supervision & Monitoring: Supervise exercise sessions while monitoring vital signs—including blood pressure and telemetry—to identify and respond to abnormal physical responses.
• Emergency Response & Reporting: Promptly report significant clinical changes or arrhythmias to the supervising physician and initiate ACLS or emergency protocols according to hospital policy.
• Documentation & Clinical Standards: Maintain accurate, timely charting of patient progress and assessments while utilizing the nursing process to integrate clinical knowledge into daily care.
• Patient & Family Education: Provide comprehensive education to patients and families regarding general Cardiac Rehabilitation or the Pritikin Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation program.
• Operational & Professional Maintenance: Ensure emergency equipment is functional and fully stocked while maintaining professional expertise through ongoing education, annual competencies, and industry research.

Job Requirements

Required

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, upon hire and
• Registered Nurse: WA, upon hire and
• AHA Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Preferred

• One year RN work experience in a clinic setting OR two years of acute care RN work experience
