Position Overview
emerjence LLC is seeking an experienced Acquisition Support Specialist to provide acquisition management, contracting, program support, and financial planning assistance in support of client and agency mission requirements.
The Acquisition Support Specialist will support the planning and execution of acquisition activities throughout the acquisition lifecycle and work closely with program, contracting, financial, and technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of acquisition management principles, performance-based acquisition practices, project management, and financial and budgetary processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide acquisition management and contracting support throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
- Assist with the planning, development, execution, and oversight of acquisition strategies and activities.
- Support the development and coordination of acquisition packages, documentation, requirements, and related deliverables.
- Provide program, project, and portfolio management support aligned with client and agency mission objectives.
- Apply performance-based acquisition management principles and practices to acquisition planning, implementation, and oversight.
- Support the development, review, and maintenance of acquisition plans, schedules, milestones, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with program offices, contracting personnel, technical teams, financial management personnel, and other stakeholders.
- Track acquisition activities, milestones, deliverables, risks, issues, and action items.
- Assist with financial and budget planning, analysis, tracking, and reporting activities.
- Conduct research and analysis to support acquisition planning and contracting decisions.
- Assist with requirements development and ensure acquisition documentation accurately reflects program and mission needs.
- Prepare reports, briefings, presentations, and other documentation related to acquisition and program activities.
- Identify acquisition risks, dependencies, and potential issues and support the development of appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Support continuous improvement of acquisition management, contracting, and program management processes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in acquisition management, contracting, program/project management, financial management, or a related field.
- Experience supporting acquisition planning and/or contracting activities.
- Knowledge of acquisition management principles, processes, and practices.
- Knowledge and/or experience with performance-based acquisition management theories, implementation, and oversight.
- Experience supporting program, project, or portfolio management activities.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively coordinate with multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting federal government acquisition or contracting programs.
- Familiarity with federal acquisition and procurement processes.
- Experience developing or reviewing acquisition documentation and requirements packages.
- Experience with financial and budget planning, analysis, tracking, and reporting.
- Knowledge of performance-based acquisition strategies and methodologies.
- Experience tracking acquisition schedules, milestones, risks, and deliverables.
- Ability to communicate acquisition and program information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment.
