**About the Role**

Are you a builder at heart? GE Vernova is establishing a brand-new, state-of-the-art Panel Manufacturing facility in the Salt Lake City area. We are looking for an Industrialization & Lean Manufacturing Engineer to serve as a cornerstone of this new operation.

In this role, you won’t just maintain processes—you will design them. You will lead the transition of our manufacturing from concept to commissioning, and eventually into a high-scale, mature production environment. Job Description

**What You’ll Do**

• Greenfield Launch: Lead the industrialization of our new facility, from facility layout and workstation design to equipment commissioning and production ramp-up.
• Process Engineering: Define and optimize manufacturing sequences for panel assembly, wiring, and testing. Ensure every process is safe, efficient, and scalable.
• Lean Leadership: Embed Lean manufacturing into our DNA. You will drive Value Stream Mapping, 5S, and Kaizen events to eliminate waste and optimize flow.
• Technical Problem Solving: Act as the lead for root-cause analysis and implement sustainable technical solutions to complex manufacturing challenges.
• Strategic Growth: As we scale, you will identify opportunities for new manufacturing technologies and automation to improve our performance across SQDCP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People).
• Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with Engineering, Quality, EHS, and Supply Chain teams to ensure our designs are manufacturable and our outputs exceed customer expectations.

 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline, or significant relevant experience within electrical, electronic or electro-mechanical manufacturing.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrialization, or a related manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience applying Lean Manufacturing, structured problem solving, and process improvement within a manufacturing environment.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

• Experience in electrical panel, switchgear, or electronics manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with facility start-ups, launches, or major production expansions.
• Proven ability to design and implement efficient manufacturing layouts, scalable production cells, robust standard work, and precise work instructions, as well as the design of custom tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
• Advanced Lean Manufacturing expertise, including successful application of Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Standard Work development, Kaizen facilitation, line balancing, and facility-wide flow optimization.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred) and 3D CAD/prototyping tools.
• Knowledge of PFMEA, process validation, and ergonomic workstation design.
• Lean Six Sigma certification.

Location & Travel

• Location: Salt Lake City, Utah. This is an on-site, shopfloor-focused leadership role. Your physical presence will be essential to guiding the team through the facility launch and long-term operational success.
• Travel: Up to 10\% travel required to visit other GE Vernova facilities, suppliers, or project locations to share best practices and ensure alignment with our global standards.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $81,700.00 and $136,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
