The opportunity:
Computer Aided Design & Drafting (CAD/CAM/CAE) work focuses on the documentation, illustration, and digital modelling of engineering designs and processes including: Assessing engineering requirements and translating into technical blueprints, drawings, layouts, and simulation models using CAD/CAM/CAE software or applying standard CAD/CAM/CAE techniques to digitize, edit, and revise engineering drawings of components, parts, and assemblies. Customizing CAD/CAM/CAE software to model complex or unusual designs. Creating digital proto-types and conducting design simulations for purposes of verifying reliability/safety and optimizing engineering processes. Collaborating with product/manufacturing process engineers by recommending changes to component designs based on outcomes of digital proto-typing and design simulations.
How you’ll make an impact
Prepare BIM execution plans and project specific training documentation.
Coordinating with various consultants and internal teams for developing in-house BIM models in LOD/LOI 300.
Extracting clash detection reports and coordinating for resolution.
Extracting BOQ and coordinating with business tor confirmation and loading project timelines and resources on BIM models and extracting 3D progress reports for management.
Assisting BIM service provider for as-built BIM model at the end of the project.
Proficient in using BIM authoring tools to provide technical support and mentoring required to the project team and understand and ensure any changes in procedure and standards are effectively communicated to project teams, offer cross-team support.
Coordinate and manage BIM project data sets/workflow and project set up.
Lead and drive project related BIM use cases like: Clash & clearance checks, BIM – 4D Simulation, Issue management, Visualizations, Asset management, etc.
Primary Engineering Deliverables.
Experience in handling complete Engineering deliverables for AIS & GIS projects and Exposure to International experience & Standards IEC, IEEE & AS Substation layouts and section drawings, Grounding system drawings, Lightning system design, drawings, Cable routings Understanding of auxiliary design aspects of substations, such as LVAC / LVDC supplies, Cable sizing, Battery & Battery Charger Sizing, etc Technical data sheets verification of primary equipment.
Knowledge of primary equipment, such as circuit breakers, disconnectors, earthing switches, instrument transformers, power transformers, etc Vendor Offer Evaluations.
FAT / SAT of primary equipment, system as and when needed. Technical risk and opportunity assessment and validation 7 Innovative ideas to reduce Engineering effort Plan, implement, review and continuously improvise quality system & follow OPEX initiatives

Your background
Bachelors Engineering (Electrical)
0-6 years exp
Proficiency in required CAD design tools (BIM Tools, BIM 360, Navisworks, Microstation / AutoCAD, AutoCAD REVIT, 3D competence)
Knowledge of relevant International standards ex. IEEE, IEC,etc
Knowledge in substation tendering and project engineering activities (technical & commercial
Individual contributor using in-depth knowledge in a specific area to execute complex or specialized projects / challenges often thinking independently to challenge traditional solutions.
Comprehensive knowledge of related disciplines in the organization.
