Moog’s Corporate IT Project Management Office is looking for a Senior Project Manager to support Data Management!

As the Senior Project Manager, you will provide centralized expertise, governance, and leadership for the data management programs spanning multiple projects, workstreams, business stakeholders, IT teams, and partners. You will align program strategy, delivery standards, financials, risks, dependencies, outcomes, and expected business value from planning through post-implementation support. You will serve as a primary executive-facing program leader, facilitating decisions, driving accountability, operating independently in ambiguity, and maintaining disciplined governance, documentation, compliance alignment, audit readiness, while providing clear leadership communication.

This role requires a hybrid work schedule, with a minimum of three days in-office each week, at our Corporate Headquarters in East Aurora, NY.

To qualify for the Senior Project Manager role, here is what we would expect you to bring to Moog…

  • Typically, a bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

  • Minimum of seven (7) of experience in project or program management within IT, business transformation, or a complex cross-functional environment.

  • At least 5 years managing large, cross-functional programs or multiple interrelated projects/workstreams.

  • Over 3 years in a people leader or matrix leadership role with demonstrated ability to motivate teams, influence stakeholders, and develop people.

  • Proven executive communication skills and ability to influence decision-making across all levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex initiatives with competing priorities, cross-functional dependencies, vendors, and third-party delivery partners.

  • Strong expertise in program governance, documentation discipline, decision tracking, risk and issue management, audit readiness, compliance alignment, and financial tracking.

  • Strong knowledge of PMI, Agile, SAFe, hybrid delivery models, and related program management frameworks.

  • Strong leadership, systems thinking, facilitation, negotiation, organizational, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency with program management, workflow, portfolio, financial tracking, reporting, and collaboration tools.

  • Must live local to the Buffalo, NY area to work onsite.

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

  • Master’s degree.

  • Minimum of 10 of experience in project or program management within IT, business transformation, or a complex cross-functional environment.

  • Experience with Databricks Lakehouse Platform and Genie Spaces.

  • Experience with Data Governance, MDM, and Data Quality tools is a plus.

  • PMP, PgMP, Agile, SAFe, Scrum, Prosci, CCMP, or equivalent certification.

  • Experience with ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Power BI, Microsoft 365, Copilot, Claude, or similar platforms; ServiceNow experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience operating in regulated environments with legal, regulatory, internal compliance, information security, or export-control requirements.

  • Experience leading technology-enabled transformation programs with measurable adoption, benefits realization, and business outcomes.

As the Senior Project Manager, you will…

  • Develop and maintain program strategy, roadmaps, integrated plans, schedules, milestones, delivery approach, and performance measures aligned to organizational and technology objectives.

  • Lead large-scale, cross-functional programs with multiple projects or workstreams across business, technical, operational, vendor, and support teams.

  • Serve as a primary interface with executives and sponsors by providing concise updates, facilitating decisions, escalating risks, and driving accountability for outcomes.

  • Establish and maintain program governance, including decision logs, action tracking, documentation standards, risk and issue management, dependency management, audit readiness, and compliance alignment.

  • Integrate change management milestones such as communications, training, stakeholder engagement, readiness, adoption metrics, and benefits realization into program plans.

  • Own program budget, resource planning, forecasting, tracking, reconciliation, reporting, variance management, and workstream capacity visibility.

  • Manage vendor and partner performance against contractual obligations, timelines, quality expectations, dependencies, escalations, and value objectives.

  • Report program status, scope, schedule, financials, key metrics, risks, issues, dependencies, outcomes, benefits, and decision needs through a consistent leadership cadence.

  • Oversee testing, business requirement validation, deployment readiness, operational readiness, and continuous improvement across delivery practices.

  • Use project, workflow, portfolio, financial, reporting, and AI-enabled tools such as ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Power BI, Microsoft 365, Copilot, and Claude to improve visibility, documentation, consistency, and efficiency.

  • Operate as a self-directed program leader who can ramp quickly, navigate ambiguity, influence across levels, and take ownership of program success with appropriate escalation.

  • Support program governance for the Data Governance function, which may include stewardship rollout, Data Council cadence, and MDM/Data Quality initiative tracking

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $140,000.00–$170,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
