Description
To prepare accurate project estimates by gathering information and analyzing essential metrics. Knowledge of costs and benefits that support profitable business decisions.
Salary Range: 30,000 - 40,000
Work Set-Up: Work onsite | Mon-Fri | 6am - 3pm
Responsibilities:
- Prepare Bill of Quantities, takeoffs, and estimates.
- Determine variables for cost and other estimates.
- Read, analyze, or use construction plans to prepare takeoffs and estimates.
- Pull a comprehensive estimation of labor costs, materials, and construction timeline.
- Obtain and review pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers).
- Purchase of materials and Quantity Surveying.
- General project and contract administration support as required.
- Perform other related duties as required
Requirements:
- Experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor or similar role.
- Experience in roofing and cladding takeoff is highly preferable.
- Knowledge of BuilderTrend or Planswift is preferable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding organization and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Thorough and reliable, possess a positive attitude, and capable of taking on challenges and achieving results.
- Client-focused with strong attention to detail.
