Q201103: Estimator (Roofing & Cladding)

To prepare accurate project estimates by gathering information and analyzing essential metrics. Knowledge of costs and benefits that support profitable business decisions.

Salary Range: 30,000 - 40,000
Work Set-Up: Work onsite | Mon-Fri | 6am - 3pm

Responsibilities:

• Prepare Bill of Quantities, takeoffs, and estimates.
• Determine variables for cost and other estimates.
• Read, analyze, or use construction plans to prepare takeoffs and estimates.
• Pull a comprehensive estimation of labor costs, materials, and construction timeline.
• Obtain and review pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers).
• Purchase of materials and Quantity Surveying.
• General project and contract administration support as required.
• Perform other related duties as required

Requirements:

• Experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor or similar role.
• Experience in roofing and cladding takeoff is highly preferable.
• Knowledge of BuilderTrend or Planswift is preferable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding organization and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Thorough and reliable, possess a positive attitude, and capable of taking on challenges and achieving results.
• Client-focused with strong attention to detail.
