Description
Grand Canyon University is seeking a server to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through GCU's golf course.
Purpose within the Organization:
The purpose of this position is to create a welcoming environment for customers in the bar through food and beverage service.
Responsibilities Related to Purpose:
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinks
- Restock and replenish inventory and supplies
- Provide exceptional customer service in all touch points with customers (information, greeting, food service, bar service, retail service). Promote a positive perception of the Company at all times both internally & externally
- Working shift work and weekends, and public holidays, ensuring prompt timekeeping and attendance
- Adhere to employee conduct, food and beverage regulations, uniform and personal hygiene requirements and report any incidents of complaint, accident, fire, loss or damage
Equipment:
- Golf Cart (MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENSE & CLEAN DRIVING RECORD)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrates excellent customer services skills
- Working knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations and current Maricopa County certification
- Working knowledge of Responsible Service standards for alcohol and current certification as well as knowledge of Mixology and ability to prepare cocktails timely and meeting service protocols.
- Self- motivated and shows initiative to start and complete tasks.
- Good communications skills with a good command of the English language, conversational Spanish would be beneficial.
- Will be required to work weekends and holidays or extended hours as needed.
- Valid Drivers License and Clean Driving Record
Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:
- Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a bachelor’s program or master's program.
- Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
- Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
Pay Rate: $12.15 per hour plus tips
