Production Planner II

Overview

The Production Planner is responsible for managing global returns programs, inventory control, materials planning for repair operations, and cross-functional coordination with Finance, Quality, Purchasing, Field Service, and Order Services. This role ensures efficient execution of return processes, inventory accuracy, regulatory compliance, and critical material availability while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and special projects within the Americas.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory transactions, cycle counts, and database record maintenance.
• Support Instrument Day 1, Depot Repair and Warranty returns
• Manage Service eReturns, virtual returns and Chemistry returns.
• Coordinate domestic returns programs with international partners, including warranty and non-warranty returns.
• Monitor open delivery, back order, and critical material shortage reports.
• Support materials planning, purchasing activities, and supplier coordination.
• Collaborate with Finance, Quality, Customer Service, and Operations teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Support compliance initiatives, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
• Lead or participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Help to maintain accurate operational quality documentation.

Qualifications

Education and background: 

• High School Diploma essential 
• Associate or bachelor’s degree whilst preferred is not essential.  
• An engineering or science related background is desired.

Experience, Skills and Core Requirements:

• Experience in SAP is essential
• Experience in materials management, inventory control, logistics and supply chain operations is essential.
• Knowledge of returns management, repair operations, and inventory processes.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with enterprise systems, databases, and reporting tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and global teams.
• Experience supporting compliance, quality, or regulated business processes preferred.
