This position is located in Redmond, WA.
Starting yearly salary for this role is $ $91,468.00 - $115,000
The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location.

General position summary:
The Workplace Solutions Account Manager serves as the executive relationship owner and primary point of accountability for assigned strategic client accounts. The role builds trusted client partnerships, leads disciplined account planning and governance, coordinates Suddath resources across service lines, and drives client retention, profitable growth, and achievement of assigned strategic account objectives.
This role acts as the client's advocate within Suddath and Suddath's advocate with the client. It aligns client objectives, account goals, team engagement, financial performance, opportunity pipeline, risk management, and ongoing service delivery into a simple, consistent governance model while ensuring customer needs and expectations are met.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Leadership
- Serve as the senior relationship manager and primary point of accountability for assigned strategic accounts.
- Establish and maintain productive, professional, and executive-level relationships with key client stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor by understanding client business objectives, challenges, needs, and future initiatives.
- Lead regular business reviews, executive meetings, strategic planning sessions, and large corporate customer meetings.
- Drive client satisfaction, retention, and reference ability, and maintain satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
- Capture and manage the client agenda, including two to four annual objectives or issues identified by the accountable client peer and annual client survey feedback.
Account Strategy, Sales & Growth
- Maintain a clear account plan connecting client priorities, Suddath account goals, financial performance, pipeline opportunities, risks, and team engagement.
- Lead a joint strategic account planning process that establishes mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for one- and three-year periods.
- Achieve assigned sales quotas, profitable sales volume targets, and strategic objectives for designated accounts.
- Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts and present new Suddath programs and solutions.
- Build growth strategies in partnership with sales, operations, and business line leaders.
- Monitor industry trends and client business changes to identify new opportunities.
- Price and present special projects.
Integrated Service Delivery
- Represent the full range of Workplace services and coordinate delivery across project management, workplace services, furniture, logistics, warehousing, technology, move management, and other Suddath offerings.
- Coordinate the involvement of support, service, management, and other internal resources to meet account performance objectives and client expectations.
- Align internal teams around client priorities and service commitments while ensuring seamless execution across business units and geographies.
- Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis.
- Lead solution-development efforts that address customer needs and coordinate all necessary company personnel.
- Facilitate issue resolution and escalation management.
Financial Management
- Manage account profitability and overall financial performance.
- Monitor revenue, margins, backlog, pipeline, forecasts, sales volume, and financial targets.
- Identify risks to financial performance and implement corrective actions.
- Support contract negotiations, renewals, pricing strategies, and special-project pricing.
- Accumulate, produce, and present quarterly service and volume reports to customer accounts and Suddath service partners.
Governance & Performance Management
- Establish account governance structures, communication protocols, and consistent review cadences.
- Use practical governance tools, including relationship mapping, client and team engagement calendars, financial summaries, opportunity pipeline, risk tracking, and team-health indicators.
- Ensure contractual obligations and service commitments are achieved.
- Develop and track key performance indicators.
- Lead monthly internal account reviews and quarterly client business reviews using consistent account governance information.
- Drive continuous improvement based on account performance, client feedback, employee engagement results, service issues, and growth opportunities.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Champion a One Suddath approach across all client interactions.
- Lead cross-functional account teams through influence rather than direct authority.
- Foster collaboration across operations, sales, project management, service, management, and support functions.
- Mentor account team members and promote best practices.
- Complete required training and development objectives within assigned time frames.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Eight or more years of experience in account management, strategic business-to-business sales, client services, project management, workplace services, logistics, commercial relocation, facilities, or a related industry.
- Experience managing large, complex client relationships and designated strategic accounts.
- Demonstrated financial acumen, analytical capability, and business planning experience.
- Strong executive communication, presentation, report-writing, and business correspondence skills.
- Proven ability to influence and coordinate cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Fortune 1000 clients.
- Experience managing multi-site or national accounts.
- Knowledge of workplace, healthcare, logistics, facilities, furniture, or project-delivery environments.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Math Ability:
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint
