Description
Primary Responsibilities /Accountabilities/ Essential Functions:
- Assist in weekly cage cleaning
- Weigh rats weekly/maintain weight log
- Be present for testing sessions Monday – Saturday, 11:00 – 3:00 as needed Maintain testing log and video database
- Be present for weekly meet ups with vivarium leadership team
- Be present for weekly lab meeting with entire team
- Monitor/Communicate with vivarium coordinator regarding PPE/food/bedding orders
Equipment Use and Responsibility
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient typing skills.
- Must be comfortable working in a professional environment with all levels of staff and faculty.
- Must be service oriented.
- Must be comfortable with GCU’s campus and departments to direct guests, students and staff.
- Must have prior computer knowledge and be able to copy, scan and fax documents.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn and serve

Experience/ Education

• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
• Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
• Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
