Senior Engineer, Manufacturing EngineeringJob Description:
THE ROLE:
We are seeking a senior manufacturing engineer to drive the design, development, and optimization of advanced automation systems and further develop key manufacturing process technology for fluid management production lines in Munmak, Korea, supporting the Advanced Purity Solutions Division.
This role requires a strong technical background and hands-on experience to ensure smooth production operations, optimize manufacturing systems, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
You will partner closely with cross-functional to standardize automation platforms, accelerate deployment of strategic initiatives, and strengthen overall manufacturing performance.
What You’ll Do:
Develop, implement and optimize manufacturing process to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
Lead continuous improvement project focused on boosting productivity and reducing scrap to achieve plant KPIs.
Provide data driven insights for manufacturing decisions and risk based solutions to minimize production issues and meet on time shipment (OTS).
Create and maintain manufacturing methods for all activities, ensuring accuracy and precision in line with engineering specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
Conduct regular assessments of production equipment and recommend necessary upgrades or modifications to improve overall performance or increase capacity.
Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, address issues, and develop proactive strategies for maintaining quality standards.
Lead FMEA development and updates for assigned manufacturing processes to ensure accurate risk evaluation and mitigation.
Document and maintain work instructions reflecting the established process.
Utilize statistical tools to make data-driven decisions.
Maintain master data up to date, including but not limited to routing, scrap factors, standard cost, work center, etc.
Analyze existing capacity and future demand. Propose additional equipment if necessary.
Provide technical support, training and guidance to production teams to resolve any problem and ensure smooth workflow.
Stay updated with latest advancements in our technology and industry and best practices to continually improve manufacturing processes.
Work closely with design engineering to provide input during the product development stage, ensuring manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
Work closely with production leads and supervisors, quality engineers, vendors and other Entegris plants to solve manufacturing issues.
What We Seek:
Minimum of 8 years in engineering manufacturing.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in CAD software and experience in creating or reviewing the drawings.
Strong knowledge of automated systems with a demonstrated ability to optimize processes for improved efficiency.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six sigma methodologies is preferred.
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams to achieve common goals.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards in all manufacturing processes.
Outstanding candidates will have:
Knowledge of data analytics for smart manufacturing.
Experience with ignition software development and integration.
Exposure to cleanroom automation and high precision assembly processes.
Proven track record of leading large-scale automation projects.
Ability to influence automation strategy and drive continuous improvement.
Strong English language skills.
