About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Refrigeration Intern to support our maintenance and refrigeration teams within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This hands-on internship is designed for students looking to gain real experience working with industrial cooling and refrigeration equipment.
This role offers flexible hours to support academic schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist refrigeration technicians with routine inspections and basic maintenance.
- Learn to troubleshoot refrigeration and cooling systems under supervision.
- Support equipment cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, and system checks.
- Help maintain accurate logs, documentation, and safety records.
- Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE at all times.
- Observe and participate in preventive maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with maintenance staff and learn about industrial operations.
Minimum Requirements
- Currently enrolled in:
- An HVAC program
OR - A technical college, community college, or university program
- An HVAC program
- Willingness to learn in a hands-on environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable attendance and commitment to safety.
Values collaboration, clarity, and low-ego ways of working.
Schedule
- Flexible hours available to accommodate school schedules.
- Opportunities for additional hours during breaks if desired.
Working environment
• Interns may work in both office and manufacturing environments depending on the assigned department.
• Some roles may require time on the production floor and exposure to manufacturing equipment, noise, temperature variances, and other industrial conditions. Appropriate personal protective equipment will be provided when required.
• Exposure to allergens such as dairy, eggs, tree nuts, coconut, peanuts, wheat (gluten), soybean, and cinnamon may occur in certain areas of the facility.
