Join dsm-firmenich in Leeuwarden as a Lead Specialist, Logistics Operations and play a key role in coordinating international shipments, export documentation, and customer deliveries across a global supply chain. Your key responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments from production sites to customers, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Manage export operations, including customs compliance and preparation of shipping and export documentation.
- Collaborate closely with warehouses, freight forwarders, carriers, customer service, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth logistics execution.
- Monitor shipments, resolve delivery issues, and proactively communicate delays or exceptions to stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement by supporting logistics process optimization, KPI tracking, and adherence to standard operating procedures.

You bring
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent practical experience in logistics operations.
- Experience with international logistics, exports, customs processes, and transportation coordination.
- Strong proficiency in SAP or a comparable ERP system, with the ability to manage logistics transactions accurately.
- Fluent Dutch and English communication skills, both written and verbal; German language skills are a strong advantage.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a documentation- and compliance-driven environment.
- Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced international environment.
