The Role

Join us in an exciting time as we continue our transition as a stand-alone company. As part of our ambitious growth strategy, The Magnum Ice Cream Company (TMICC) is driving Global Business and Technology transformation as the final stage in the process of separation from Unilever.  

We are on the lookout for an experienced finance professional to lead financial controllership in a special project capacity. The bulk of this role will cover Project activities, alongside some separation related activities. Overall, you will provide expert guidance on local statutory and regulatory requirements that will impact our key processes within finance. Alongside acting as a point of contact, you will participate in developing, testing and post go live support from a local statutory and controllership processes. 

This 12-month fixed-term opportunity STARTING NOVEMBER 2026. 

 

What you'll be responsible for  

  • Providing expert guidance on local statutory and regulatory requirements impacting key finance processes. 

  • Acts as the single point for requesting and coordinating any finance-related localisation requests and routes all exceptions to the global design team. 

  • Coordinates with local SME’s to ensure all local finance compliance needs are captured and aligned with the global design. 

  • Participates in UAT testing for local statutory and controllership processes and supports Hypercare issue resolution. 

  • Aligns with the Wave Finance team for statutory decisions. 

 

We're looking for someone who  

  • Has experience in working with regulatory finance frameworks as a qualified accountant or equivalent experience with deep understanding and can operate confidently in a team environment with strong stakeholder management.  

  • Brings strong skills in:  

  • evaluating global fit-to-standard design against local statutory requirements and escalating finance-specific escalations;  

  • consolidating input from Finance SME’s to ensure compliance requirements are accurately represented;  

  • familiarity with SAP, local finance systems and prior experience in finance transformation is desirable. 

  • Thinks end-to-end and takes ownerships for results 

  • Is comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving organisation 

  • Values collaboration, clarity and low-ego ways of working
